I hated how when McCoy went down in the NCG, Mack Brown had the back up play so conservatively. In the second half, they started to air it out and made a bit of a comeback. Makes you wonder what would have happened if they had started doing that from the beginning.

The #4 seed has been better than one or both of the #2 & 3 seeds every year (with last year Washington vs. OSU being close, but I thought Washington was a bit better). Even though #1 seeds have had decent bowl locations, perhaps they should stop with the random rotation and take seeding into account? Like, next year it would suck for a #1 OSU to have to face a #4 Miami in the Orange Bowl or a #4 Texas in the Cotton bowl.

If Miami was #4 they would make the game be played at the non orange bowl stadium. There’s like a contingency rule for it

There’s like a contingency rule for it I'm not going to look up if that's true, but if it is its totally insane. I think that the #1 seed in a 4 or even 8 team system is probably going to have a tough time. Historically, we have seen that the #4 team has typically been a flawed conference champ or at large that is playing at a high level to end the season. That is, they are usually a team with a weaker record under the old "0 losses > 1 loss > 2 losses, etc" system, but are looking very good on the field. I think this would be the same in an 8 team playoff where 1-5 seeds would end up being P5 conference champs, and the other 3 would be at-large bids, so the best thing would to be the #4 seed (face the crappiest P5 champ).

To be honest, I wish all bowl games were in snow, so I find them all to be terrible, but otherwise my plan is ok.
