Eagles are better off trying to get Foles offloaded at max value and if they don’t he’s still relatively cheap and a dependable backup for 1 more year 100%. Wentz (if unscathed) has a decade more of potential success while Foles probably has 2-3. Foles would be a good veteran add on any team that needs a QB that can sustain that long to start developing their own futures. In a min offseason where QBs are going to be the hot market, it’s much safer to invest in a mid-range deal for Foles than risk a rookie. Browns, Jets and Broncos would be great places for Foles, Arizona too. With this SB win, Foles will be motivated to do it again on his own, and that’s really exciting. As a Pats fan, I was okay with the result. Save the whole Malcolm Butler and strip-sack, I really enjoyed this Super Bowl. Offense won this championship, and watching Brady put up 500 yards was still incredible, but the Eagles deserved to win this game. The Pats really need to figure out the defense. With Schiano projected to be the new DC, hopefully they draft key D players in the offseason. Trade Butler for some mid- low level picks and stock up on DBs and a true DE. I’m tired of watching a bend-don’t-break defense in this era of football. It just doesn’t work anymore.

Was obviously untimely but he played pretty well this season from what I read. I think PFF said he only gave up 1 in the whole regular season

Would have rather him just try to hold the ball with that pressure coming. One thing to have, McCourty is one of the most underrated DBs in the league. He was the only semblance of life in that secondary and made every tackle he could.

Look at how the Seahawks fell after Wilson contract kicked in, and Ravens when flacco got paid. They let him have a TB12 facility in the facilities and don't make a fuss over his promoting his brand which I think goes a long way to him taking less money. That and he's married to Giselle.... Having a hard time with a lot of BB coaching decisions yesterday. Looking at the front 7 on defense he built a poor roster, putting Rowe on Jeffries instead of Gilmore, Butler being done dirty, poor tackling. Crazy how close that game was with as many things the Pats just effed up. Man do they make good TV though. Schiano supposedly coming in to be DC for Pats now. Like the move, hoping some fresh bodies get a couple LB's back and a new mind will help out. Means Flores probably going to Detroit with Patricia.

Foles has enough regular season footage on multiple teams to show why he's not a starter. That being said I haven't watched his playoffs SB run all-22 but most times i've watched foles i've always walked away thinking, god he's lucky more than he's playing the position well.

Belicheck is still not giving us the real reason Butler was benched. No one can make sense of it. I think that and limiting Burkhead was a major factor in the loss for the Patriots. Brady may have lost a step, but he's still the best QB in the league.

the eagles should trade their would-have-been-mvp starter QB and hall-of-fame backup QB to be able to pick some new people next year that makes all sorts of sense Wentz and Foles are not even top 10 earners, btw
