true. i'll ask him directly about FVV. However, based on what Engelmann's thinks of RAPM and xRAPM when it comes to player evaluation and FVV's current RAPM and xRAPM i'd say Engelmann is paying close attention to FVV and Engelmann thinks he is good.
O'Neale's xRAPM is "only" +2.05 so I'd say Engelmann is not super high on O'Neale.
I'd say Engelmann is watching FVV closely for 2 reasons. 1) is he legitimately that good? 2) if he is not really that good are there some flaws in xRAPM causing FVV's value to be overestimated.
Engelmann is constantly evolving and improving xRAPM.
Yes, I saw that and it was sick. I should qualify, if he did on the first try. Smith did a amazing dunk but it took three tries which never makes it as impressive.
That dunk by Oladipo is crazy and probably would have been the best dunk but damn it's so unsatisfying when when the ball just rattles in with such little force.
Cleveland is 3-1 since "the trades". mainstream media has them as a "lock" to go to the finals again. welp, they beat Atlanta, Boston, and OKC.
Boston gave up 129 to the Clippers and are getting smashed by everyone. OKC just had a last possession win against a depleted Sacramento team ...OKC is 4-7 in their last 11 games and struggling without Roberson.
So Cleveland's 3-1 record isn't evidence they are a lock to go to the finals.
before Cleveland played a game with the new guys I had Boston at 5-2, Toronto at 5-2, and Cleveland at 5-1. Zache Lowe has Cleveland as a slight favourite to win the East.
most serious analysts don't view Cleveland as a "lock". guys that get paid to yell into microphones and flap their arms around are calling Cleveland a lock though.

toronto no longer has a definitive "best player" and no one on the team is playing 30 minutes a game. Cleveland is going to have to deal with more than Toronto and Boston.
ROLF you are a special snowflake, you said this "attempting to assess a poster's emotional state via their posts is a fool's errand." Questioning and assessing mean about the same thing smart guy.
Lowry is still the raptors best player with DD a close second, the bench is playing awesome and I hope this continues but those are their clear best players.
Clutz, I don't think they are a lock this season less then ever, they are the favorite because LBJ and he always has made the finals. But I think Tor, Bos, Phi and Mil are all legit challengers this year. And if Wall comes back and doesn't screw up chemistry they may be as well.

no they do not which is why "question" and "assess" have different definitions in any english dictionary.
i've already stated this to you before. and i'll repeat it. "u mad bro?" has a question mark at the end of it. i have no clue of the poster's emotional state which is why i'm asking the question.

the bench has been outperforming the starters for many weeks. VanVleet is outplaying Lowry and has been for weeks. Jack Armstrong just about jizzes in his pants when he talks about some of the plays VanVleet makes.
the Raptor with the highest ceiling is probably Pascal Siakam. He is a converted soccer player and started playing basketball at age 17.
Casey knows Siakam's ceiling is sky-high and its evident by how he lets him keep on chucking up 3's at a 19% clip. If Casey thought Siakam had low potential he wouldn't let him fuck up so many possessions.
Bench will play less in the playoffs no doubt, often there is 3 days rest or at least 2 between each game. With the Raps in particular the knock against them was always that DD and Lowr played too many minutes and were broken down. Hopefully this year they will be full strength, and I hope there bench can get some momentum when they are on. I also don't think the Cavs starting 5 is that great outside of of course Lebron. Hell has looked like he looked in Sac, after a OK first game he followed it up with some bad then awful games. Clarkson and nance are fine bench players but that is it. JR smith has more cold then hot this year. Love is hurt but is clearly their second best player, Thompson is about the same, energy, good defender. They don't really have a dominate starting 5 like they did in years past.
I would still say they are the favorite. But this is the first time since LBJ went to the Heat that I would bet on the field over Lebron's team.

Question: a sentence worded or expressed so as to elicit information
Assess: evaluate or estimate the nature, ability, or quality of.
Totally different things ROLF. Special special snowflake.
You thinking they are out performing because the stat you worship says so, and them being better are two different things. Perhaps you can read another ESPN writer discussing some of the flaws about their own stat. Of course you will read it and some how not see any flaw, but such is life.
JJ I'm willing to bet you a years Ban on the NBA thread that Lowry and DD's minutes go up in the playoffs and the bench, especially the people 8th and more in the rotation go down. Deal?
you should look up what the question mark symbol means and post it in here. i'm sure dozens of people are interested.

most often its 1 day off between games. that's how the Raptors had 20 games in 39 days in 2016.
regarding the playoffs Casey said he'll play whatever lineup is playing better. every time Casey has been asked he refuses to back off of a 10 man rotation in the playoffs.
this is why you see games with Lowry playing ~25 minutes. that is a night where the bench was playing better.

what if Lowry gets hurt like he does every time late in the year? the prime driver of any alteration in Lowry and DD's minutes will be injuries.
there is no definitive "8th man" in the rotation .. its 2 sets of 5 guys.

And if this is you're view then Cleveland being a lock shouldn't even come out of your mouth. Cleveland has been winning because the new rotation has jiggered their shit starting unit and boosted the bench. They can't afford a 7-8 man rotation because they'd get destroyed.

If dozens of people interested in posts was a requirement, hell if 2 people needed to be interested you would have to cutting your post count by 98%. Nice dodge on the facts that you walked into insulting yourself again! The definitions were just for you, everyone else that speaks English at a 5th grade level knows it, but apparently doesn't.
If Lowry is hurt and plays less minutes you would win the bet. With all your advanced stats knowledge and scout uncle you should be confident in taking this bet, it is stacked in your favor, clearly those players are better then the starters...
