I would be amazed if Kaepernick got signed anywhere. His success was totally system dependent because he is not a good thrower. Now he's a 31 year old run-first qb who isn't a good thrower and comes with a ton of media baggage that he feeds into. No one is gonna roll the dice on a backup like that.

They screwed up picking up Fitzmagic for the tank. He is going to have just enough magical games to keep them out of the top pick! They need some one consistently bad to lose every game., not some one who could be the best or worst QB in the league on any given Sunday (some hyperbole for effect).

They should have signed Hackenberg.

You get the "moral high ground" while tanking.

I was hoping we would get to see fitz go to a superbowl contender as a back up. But I guess this makes him the most bucks so I can't argue with the decision,.

They have to get pressure on people.like mahomes, mayfield, brady, etc. Plus stop the run which is becoming a bit more relevant, especially pass catching out of the backfield. Agree. Its become increasingly obvious that the players that get hype in the NFL are not often difference makers (outside of QB). As more teams realize this things will become increasingly interesting

Most teams will trend in the EDGE or T/G direction, seems to be the desired way of building a team at this point.

Johhney football is going to the AAF and memphis has the first chance at his rights. we talk about CFL in here already (albeit rarely). I dont think anyone would have a problem with AAF but I probably still won't add it to the title in this one of the 2019 thread unless it becomes like a major discussion point or people get butthurt about it for some reason. I'm pretty sure theres only like 10-15 of us that make up 75% of the discussion in here anyway

Vonte "what for and for how many games will I be suspended for this time" Burfict is now a raiders 1 year 5 mil Clay "I have fabio's hair" Mathews is off to the rams on a 2 year deal worth up to 16.75 mil And Randal " I can't even think of a nick name as lame as the ones above" Cobb signs 1 year 5 mil with the cowboys. The Cowboys definitely needed needed a 2 or a 3 depending on Gallup's developement and I feel much better about Cobb one year than the deal Beasley got from the bills so thats a good one. Clay might still have some in the tank and the Rams are loaded again, but I think he is better in a 3-4 where he is mostly rushing the passer. I guess we will see but probably worth the risk. Vonte this was dumb, he's dirty and always gets suspended, he now has had a bunch of concussions AND his play had declined. You really don't want players (or coaches) after the Bengal's finally give up on them... way too late (lookin at you Marvin).
