For Bortles, it means that he doesn't make a cent more than $6.5M from football unless some other team chooses to pay him more than that amount, so he chose to just sign for cheap in LA.

Johnny football got some fun in the AAF. He had some moments. I think if he wasn't a disaster outside of football he would be at worst a career backup. https://www.msn.com/en-ca/sports/nfl/watch-manziel-looks-great-in-aaf-debut-as-express-fans-chant-johnny-against-birmingham/ar-BBVb7Rx?li=AAggXBR

Coaches get the same amount of challenges no matter how much they expand the number of calls that can be challenged. All this does is increase the possibility that Andy Reid will be out of challenges before the second quarter begins.

They say without the NFL support and young players they likely won't have a year 2. https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/03/27/alliance-of-american-football-folding-risk-nfl-players-tom-rendon The NFL is happy as a peach with everything the AAF could be they're not the issue the issue is the NFLPA. The NFLPA doesn't want college players coming out of the draft to go to the AAF and beating out veterans. instead, they want it to be a retirement home. To be a development league they either have to get players out of college or out of high school. And players out of high school are a lot more high risk and less marketable than players out of college.
