Lebron: "That one right there (winning the 2016 finals) made me the greatest player of all time". ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Can't blame him for feeling he has a shot at #1. But I generally agree that he has done a lot of losing recently for a GOAT contender :

Good luck defending them on nights when Brook Lopez is hitting 27 foot 3s. The Chris Paul contract is starting to look bad. Almost all 6 footers in NBA history decline a lot after age 32. Right now, Ujiri is looking like the smartest guy in the room by keeping Lowry's contract down to a 3 year deal that expires shortly after he turns 34.

When little guys need extra room they often pull back 2 or 3 steps to get the extra room they need. https://streamable.com/jdtwv Brook Lopez is the first center in NBA history to make 7+ 3s in back to back games.

Can't feel good about investing 500 mill in Ibaka, Lowry and derozan long term. https://www.teamliquid.net/forum/sports/523843-nba-offseason-2017?page=16#318 The Lowry deal is a good deal. Ujiri kept the fans happy by retaining their leader and he kept the corporate overlords happy by keeping the deal short. Part of keeping the deal short includes the fear of debilitating injuries for an oft injured guy.

back to today's news, Siakam, a guy who has only been playing basketball for 8 years, says Durant is the toughest guy for him to guard http://www.espn.com/espnradio/podcast/archive/_/id/10528553

https://www.theringer.com/2018/1/27/16940568/mike-conley-memphis-grizzlies-heel-bone-marc-gasol So there is a reasonable possibility John Wall is back at the start of next year at 100%.

If it is regular course of play your last step should be in bounds but you can jump out and throw it off someone before you land.

If it is regular course of play your last step should be in bounds but you can jump out and throw it off someone before you land. like if ur the inbounder and u threw it off a defenders back and you wanted to catch it off his back, dont you need to step inbound first (maybe even both feet) before catching it?

Yes you would have to be in bounds before you caught it. Not sure if it is one foot or 2. Before you land you are considered in or out of bounds based on where you take off.
