England is still very clearly no. 1 in the UEFA 5-year-rating. England won 3 of the 5 last CLs (plus 4 final appearences in the last 6 years). England still won 3 out of the last 11 Euroa Leagues, a Cup the teams clearly don't care much about (plus 3 final appearances). England won 1 out of 2 European Conference Leagues. Cherry-picking the dates a bit, but undeniably there is a lot of winning going on. If it wasn't for the two spanish outlier clubs Real Madrid and FC Sevilla in both of these cups, England surely would have won more of those competitions. These two clubs just were crazy outliers in the last decade and just happens to be both from Spain. Bundesliga has a surprisingly great year, and the general trend seems to be upwards, with Frankfurt winning it 2 years ago, Leverkusen making the semi.-finals last year. But these great years in Europe happen like once in a decade. 5 CL-finals appearances in the last 13 years and 2 EL-finals appearances in the last 20. And they sill haven't won a cup this year, Real Madrid is still in the mix. So kind of a strange narrative you guys are discussing on the last few pages. Premier League is doing extremely well. The margins on the very top are just so slim, there is so much variance. A better Premier League schedule might improve chances a bit, but England is not really struggling anyway.

Yeah think that’s a pretty reasonable summary Also let’s goooo Dortmund, nice to see them make it. Interesting wee factoid but with that result an Englishman is guaranteed to win the CL with a non-English side for the first time since Steve McManaman in (I think) 2000

Probably just the CAS left to appeal to if they think it's worth the hassle

Lots of hearings and appeals to decide the relegation battle again. Let's hope the EPL do a bit of a better job of getting shit done in a timely manner. It sucks to be a fan of a team on the end of this tbh. Plenty of times this season I was hoping we'd get relegated just so we didn't have to go through another absolutely shit season in the EPL.

Or if you play europe on tuesd your previous league game is Friday. EPL does not do this. And yeah people are having short memory here. Real will face and win against psg in the final and nobody will remember that 2 german teams were in the semis. Yikes this one did not age well xD PSG how could you fail like this... But the point still stands, people are having very short term memory regarding europe performances. i was hating on real for once again going through ties they shouldnt but now they actually need to win to prove a point (lets see if i can jinx them! Eheh)

I give Bayern a slight edge tonight of maybe 45/55 on neutral ground but since it's a home game for Real this gets evened out. Both having a at least 60/40 against Dortmund in the finals. But so did PSG

Was great game from Dortmund not taking anything away from them, just couldn't believe how much PSG could not score lol.

I feel it would be karmic justice for Real to lose this despite clearly being the better side on the night
