A new SC2 team has been created. Its name is "IM," which stands for "Incredible Miracle." It includes four ex-SC1 progamers: ZergBong, MVP, TT, and Losira. These players had fairly lackluster Broodwar careers, with MVP probably being the most successful.
Other than MVP, ZergBong is known for losing spectacularly in the GSL opening round, TT is known for losing spectacularly to sAviOr in a memorable game, and Losira is known for losing spectacularly to TLO in front of an international audience.
Nevertheless, because ex-SC1 progamers are genetically superior to other aspiring progamers, this team will likely crush the competition.
All of the players are between 80th and 110th in the world, according to SC2ranks.
The team will be participating in GSL 2.

Zergbong is probably known best for being Reach's 2v2 partner, and often times failing spectacularly at it while robbing us of the divine Reach-YellOw combo. xP

FUCK YEAH MVP!. And TT is quite oldschool, glad he's not retiring.
|
oh WOW, did not expect to see MVP :O
EDIT: Looks like ChRh is in the team as well

Wow! Didn't MVP quit because it was too hard to be a progamer? :O

Quite the spectacular team there :D

MVP was owning on Gisado's stream just recently.

Ahhh MVP? Gonna be interesting
|
here we go again! a new SC2 team with awesome players! good luck!!
|
How long do you guys think untill we see some team league emerging in the Korean scene? Teams setting up and I can't help but think there is some kind of team league being set up for sc2.

MVP leaves BW because being a progamer is too hard
Joins sc2 proteam >myface
Best of luck to them all!

Well GOM has said they don't want SC2 to develop off of teams (KeSPA system). So,we probably wont see a SC2 "pro league."

We're in your game, stealing your progamers!

I actually believe somewhere when the GSL was first announced that they said in the future they do plan on having team events. I may be wrong but I swore they said something about it for the future in the very first topic of the GSL announcement.

The icon shows Losira as Terran. Is this because of Brood war or did he switch from Zerg to Terran in SC2?

he played terran in broodwar i believe

damn, with all these teams popping up, i guess we will see some starcraft2 championships soon, maybe some kind of TSL and OSL if enough teams are formed worldwide
all we need now is cross-server play for these clans (with the help from Blizzard) or even some custom made client with LAN, which would be only on Blizzard's PCs and they should host a tournament somewhere, allow the players to duke it out without latency

fingerboom, but close enough. and the name was awesome, lol

That game against Savior was good for TT's career. He's also notable for losing to a drone drill twice in a row vs Oversky.
Should be a fun new team, good to see it taking off.
Also thats the worst team name I've ever heard. Worst yet I think.
|
lol, everyone was known for failing spectacularly, except MVP
MVP is going to be siccccccccccccckkkkkk. This is the guy who had beaten Flash, Baby, Stork, Effort just a few months ago.
Awesomeee. Can't wait to see how he does in GSL.
|
God, I hope there'll be a SC2 proleague soon. It'll be worth watching just to hear the Korean commentators struggle with these impossible team names.
Anyways, outside MVP I see this team failing hard. When 80% of your team consist of guys that are famous for being totally smashed once you'll know what to expect
+ Show Spoiler +Incredible Miracle lol, they're just trolling foreigners right?
|
Why do people hate the name SCV Life? I think it's quirky and a bit clever. But mostly quirky.
|
damn MVP, I wonder how RealPenguin feels about this
Just a few months ago he seemed to be doing quite well and winning games off of top players in BW. Hoping for some sick play.
|
I'd like to see how someone of high caliber currently in SC1 does in SC2.
Nada, Boxer, JulyZerg might already pass their prime, but MVP, 55th ELO, isn't too bad. Hope he can chop the current best in SC2, Cool and IntoTheRainbow, in halves.

ZergBong carries this team all the way with his name!

TT is going to lose a big advantage by attempting to trade bases and sadly end up getting eliminated.
Deja vu anyone?
|
Happy for MVP. He made a lot of progress in BW, but this is the better choice for him. Maybe that would make the teams start paying decent salaries to the mediocre players. Can't wait to see him play.
Are the team icons missing or is it just me?? Oh, there are no icons in the sc2 forum. Hadn't noticed that.

If anyone is curious about some of these players, a couple of them have been on Gisado's stream recently, replays are here. MVP is MVP, TT is EroSTT, and ChRh is NEXKyumer.
|
I don't know how these guys expect to really improve with that lineup. I guess MVP is supposed to be the major star? Sure they have the pro gaming experience, but lots of them never really amounted to anything in Brood War other than getting their pro gaming licenses and MVP maintaining a spot on the A-Team.
Different game though. Good luck to them. More competition is always a good thing.
|
Thought: run your team name by someone who can speak english and he'll tell you if your google translate was good or not

He had a very promising SC:BW future, one of the best TvT for sure.

That's great news. They may not have the resume or fanfare, but it's important to have talented players up and down the spectrum of players.
The Initials are nice; name is OK, nothing I would complain about. Only a matter of time for Team L3TSB ! (live a lovely life thx to shield battery). Just watch the first team with a straight Korean name will be a foreigner team.

MVP - I thought I've seen sm1 in SC2 with that Name and I obviously thought it was an imposter. Being a fan of Woongjin, I kinda like MVP with his pretty unorthodox strategies, but Terrans never really were the powerhouses of Woongjin Stars. ^^'

MVP in SC2? Holyshit. I was never his biggest fan but I will definitely cheer for him in the future.

Losira did pretty well to be honest. I really thought he was impressive during the GSL- just his opponent was playing Terran and had the +2/+2 steamroll brigade running before Broodlords could get out. His Roach harass and constant movement with Roaches was pretty decent- most Zerg's are passive, while Losira showed a more aggressive, counter attacking Zerg.
|
MVP-best known for taking a single game off god mode Flash.
He might win something =]

MVP should definitely be better than Tester at the very least. We're talking about a guy who managed to get to the Ro8 of a recent MSL and even taking a game off Flash, Best, and Stork to get there.

Furthermore, he's almost certainly one of the main people who was in charge of arranging Flash's practice schedule/partners vs. Zergs and devising strategies to throw against him. Considering that Flash has had to prep against Zerg for the 5 out of the last 6 major finals, ZB has probably gotten some very good coaching experience in this and will be a valuable asset to any team as a result.

Don't be tricked by ZergBong's awesome name into becoming a fan. He sucks. I was a victim of his sweet name, and always watched his games hoping he would win. The only problem is that this guy is terrible at SC. All you're in for is disappointment if you become a fan.

Clearly Chrh is the person to be feared here.
He and the return of his mighty "Random," will take over the GSL~

Teams setting up and I can't help but think there is some kind of team league being set up for sc2. Well GOM has said they don't want SC2 to develop off of teams (KeSPA system). So,we probably wont see a SC2 "pro league."
I wouldn't mind seeing a SC2 team league as long as people outside of said teams are allowed to enter solo competitions.

Just like how Guemchi is a bonjwa and #1 protoss with a 100% win rate on all 3 races (on that night)

MVP retired saying that the life of a BW progamer is hard, guess he wants to take it the easy path. Though in the end, this is a new game, you can't call yourself a pro unless you have seen every twist a game can take. ex-bw players should play sc2 because their skills in sc1 wheren't good enough, or they didn't try hard enough. beeing a new game everybody wants to play it, tell you what, maybe in 2 years pro players in sc2 will retire to play BW. of course thoso with sponsors tdon't have this luxury. will comentators for BW retire? at 28-30 years old? what is their future if there aren't enough BW players?

mvp is tearing up the ladder, playing over 70 ladder games a day and is now #1 global in pts. hope he gets really far.

I felt bad for Max (and other 2v2 specialists) when team games were removed. I remember an interview with Max where he was complaining that he'd been told to focus on 2v2 because it was always important, and then suddenly had no useful skills. Now Max and Sigamari are back, at least for a little bit. I hope they can find some success.
Edit: Oh hey, they're even on the same team. Cool!

Oh man, MVP ... gonna rape face in SC2 I think. ^^
