This is a brief presentation of who BoxeR is and what he represents for the Starcraft community.
BoxeR is now ManofOneway in Starcraft 2, and after all the rumours around this character the confirmation was provided by Garimto, organizer of the famous "King of the Hill" tournament, followed by a shoutcast from Artosis of a match between ManodOneway and IdrA.
After getting hold of a replay made public from ManofOneway, i decide to share it with you all on the best quality possible with my resources. Was the best i could get with my research and hopefully more replays from BoxeR will start appearing shortly:
SlayerS_`BoxeR` -ManofOneway- (T) VS Asia (T)
Source Liquipedia -> Lim Yo-Hwan, born 4 September 1980, is one of the most successful progamers in the history of the game. As the most popular StarCraft player with a fan club of more than 600,000 members and a DVD compilation of his greatest games released in South Korea, he is widely regarded in e-Sports as an iconic figure. Because of his long dominance during the rise of StarCraft’s popularity in South Korea Lim earned the title of The Emperor within the StarCraft community.
Boxer first came to fame by dominating professional StarCraft while choosing to use the Terran race at a time when this was seen as a relatively weak choice in comparison to the other two StarCraft races. During this early time in his career he innovated heavily, creating many new strategies which are still used today, most notably making much more effective use of the Terran Dropship unit than had been achieved in the past. He also gained a reputation for being able to turn around matches against the odds and having excellent Micromanagement skills. In contrast, his weakness is thought to be his macromanagement, at least when compared to other top-level professional StarCraft players.

With the constant innovation he brought and still occasionally brings to the game, Boxer has had great influence in the development of modern playing styles, especially for Terran players. He is the all-time leader in games played and won. He is a two time Starleague champion, KPGA Tour champion, two time WCG champion, and also the former captain of SK Telecom T1, a team that was originally built around him with players he hand-picked. One of those players was iloveoov, a fellow Terran, that Boxer took under his wing and who would eventually become a two time OSL and three time MSL champion. His team has consistently been one of the most successful in the team leagues.

In August 2006 Lim announced at the MSL group draws that he had received his draft letter from the government, and would be entering the Air Force by the end of the year. He later said he would try his best to return after his 2 and a half years of service.
(Air Force ACE Team - BoxeR far right)
After Lim joined the Airforce he started putting his fame into work, after a month and a half an army progaming team was created, and BoxeR found some retired progamers who joined the army before him, including H.O.T-Forever, Clon, ChRh, fOru, Rage, Qoo)Sunny and MuMyung. Together they formed the first army progaming team ever. After 2 months the team was announced, ACE (Airforce Challenge E-sports) was official, Air Force ACE. ACE’s first team league was the Shinhan Bank Proleague 2007 and has played in every Proleague since.
In December 2008, when his mandatory military service ended, Boxer returned to his team SK Telecom T1 and is currently listed on the A-team’s roster.

Boxer is going to rock the SC2 community if he does indeed switch over. Good luck to this Starcraft God, and thanks for the great compilation of Boxer's games. I hope we get to see more SC1 pro gamers start playing SC2 in the future, and see huge growth in SC2's popularity in Korea and around the world.

Agreed. Unfortunately this replay is awful for Boxer. Hopefully someone that loses to him would be willing to put up a replay.

i guess boxer was either confused by someone pretending to know him or he was confused that his true identity was outed.
Or maybe it's an impostor that could not read Korean. That's why he was like "?".
No, I'm kidding.
StarCraft 2 seems to be have been built for Boxer. Dropships heal units, no scourge to snipe medivacs, nukes are much more viable, Terran is more harass centered in SC2, and due to the nature of the game APM requirements aren't quite as high as they were in BW.
Apparently Boxer registered for GSL already, according to this post http://gall.dcinside.com/list.php?id=starcraft2&no=770375. It basically says that if you try to register for gsl with the email gonia119@hanamail.net it says already taken and that is the email he used for wcg in the past.
i love boxer, but i think we really owe him a much better highlights video. Poor quality and loud music doesn't do him justice. The second vid was much better, but i think teamliquid should make one for him. I mean, he is the father of broodwar after all. I already know how great he is, but a lot of sc2 players don't, and vids like that will just make them stop wanting to find out imo.

he can always buy a 2nd account .. right?
It's possible that he already has. Boxer's division:
NesTea is Zergbong BTW.
well if its already that obvious .. then buying an account for smurfing but naming it with his previous famous names makes it a pretty useless smurf doesn't it?? )))

Apologies for the loud ingame sound, but i tried to upload this ASAP and shoutcasting at 3am took me to forget to balance the mic sound properly.
If you check all my other shoutcasts on my youtube channel you'll notice that it was just a lapse due to feeling tired and lacking concentration .and not something i frequently do.
Hopefully better replays with more exciting matches will come out for us all to enjoy, but for now that was the only i had acess to, so i used the tools i could reach.

Thank, its always nice to see someone enjoying your work, even if it isnt as polished as i would like it to be (part of the learning process).
Hopefully more replays from ManofOneway will come out soon and the work done now can be complemented with more exciting matches...im gonna wait for my next chance to show you all what SlayerS_BoxeR is capable of.

The 1st Video on the thread opening post is a Starcraft 2 replay released last night
I think the link to the replay is here http://sc2rep.com/replays/show/id/1794 but it doesn't seem to be working right now. Rather watch the replay myself. : /

That's a link to a guy named boxer, not manofoneway. unless something wooshed over my head and that is boxer as well

That's the replay with manofoneway in it.
I didn't download it because, http://sc2ranks.com/kr/1502616/BoxeR is there as well. Apologies if Manofoneway was renamed to boxer on the site(should just keep his new name to avoid confusion).
Poor Boxer got steam rolled by the marines. Was forced to scan instead of mule thereby killing his economy even more. Probably a more solid production of marines and a raven would have helped a great deal.

Now that would be AWESOME. I think he might not go for Season 2, maybe he'll try the offline qualifiers who knows. But for Season 3 i think we're gonna have several of the BroodWar vets showing up to try a chance at fame and glory once more
I am a Zerg player but I would rather we run into a Toss Messiah right now as toss seems to have problems. I would love to see some crazy toss prism tactics. I really miss reaver drops from scbw and so far nobody came up with something similar in sc2.

Storm drops much? But yeah, the only one doing them consistently was WhiteRa and he can't play much anymore due to his ball and chain. But yeah, I'm not racist about who joins the scene, another amazing player of any race will make me happy.

I have no expectations of boxer winning season 2, but It's going to be awesome to see all these former and current BW pros playing in season 2. I'm so tempted to get some friend to split on a vod ticket so I don't have to hunt for recorded streams or wake up early to watch the streams live.
It seems to weird to me that Boxer moves a bunch of scv around a tank that should be repaired and dies to a single marine, doesnt he have the tank+repair = win totaly forged in his brain already? terrible blunder there by boxer, i really want to see him to well in the next GSL that game was kinda scary t.t

I wouldnt take this single match too serious about his skill level since i honestly think he was just practicing some openings and strategies thus the early Vikings wondering around the map and such. Still im confident he will improve with time and shows the skill level The Emperor had in BroodWar for all of us to enjoy
Can't wait to see what Boxer can do. I still remember stumbling across a handful of his reps and learning the things you could do with a tank and a dropship. LANs with my friends were never the same!
I enjoyed the game. I'm sure he's got a lot to learn, but there's no doubt he'll be quite a force soon. Things are getting very exciting!
How long has there been a BoxeR and Nada on SC2 rankings so high up? I know that a sAviOr has been around for a while. It seems odd to me that people skilled enough to be ranked so highly would just be imitators. Curious....

As far as i recall the NaDa you see high ranked on the Korean ladder is the real NaDa from BroodWar. The BozeR is not the real one since that one is playing under the name "ManofOneway" and i doubt thats the real sAviOr unless hes playing from some Korean prision
Hmm There is a Boxer ontop of the korean ladder and there is Manofoneway(the real boxer i guess). So what is the story there? Some fan took his ID or is there another progamer known as Boxer?
I just saw the recent thread about Nada July and MVP confirmed on GSL 2.
So i though no Boxer in GSL 2 ?
Because if they confirm for those 3 pro's in an article, why don't include Boxer too since he is also a BW icon, specially that the registrations are over and they know all the participants.
I hope Boxer registered to the GSL, but it's still weird, if they are talking of the most famous BW players playing in the GSL 2, that they aren't talking at all of boxer.

I dont think Zerg was ever broken after beta atleast. If you are at disadventage it doesn't mean you are not capapble of. And the disadventage is THE thing. >> Imbalance.
