Greetings newbies and professionals. Looking for a Protoss Grandmaster to watch that knows what he's doing? I was one of the three players from NA to qualify for HomeStory Cup IV, have won several Playhem Dailies on EU & NA, and compete with the best of the best. I start this season by winning my bracket in the MLG NA Open Online Qualifier. There is some awesome news for Season 7 as well that you can read below!
Here I will post the replays of my success (and sometimes failures) that you can download for your own learning and analysis. I will only be playing as Protoss. Season 6 ended with stats of 159-81 at the Rank for #25. 2012 should be a good year.
SEASON 7 REPLAYS: May 29th 2012 - I know you are going through withdrawal, but I am back. + Show Spoiler +

now we need a small side bet for extra motivation then
i have to wear a shirt of incontrol's choosing at mlg columbus because i lost a bet from last year about getting #1 on the ladder. so my extra motivation is to be #1 on the ladder when i wear the shirt. im done w/ this betting shit lol
one of my poker friends made a bet about getting into master league basically he'd take any bet and if you win you double ur money. he ended up getting master league but r1 GM is funny. should do something similar to make this more interesting cause atm its just a watch me stream top 50 gm play.
Appreciating all the support guys!!! It's only been 3 days and I climbed up pretty fast so far. The point of this is not only my Rank that will increase, but will put me back in top shape!
On May 18 2011 17:34 gNs.I-Jasa wrote: sadly i dont think 3 hours a day is enough.
Indeed you are correct that is simply my streaming schedule I'll be playing/streaming much more than that just cannot commit to specific times outside of those 3 days.
I have a full-time job so I play as much as I can. My stream schedule is what I commit to ladder. The rest of my play is tournaments and I will stream on other random occasions as well ladder/custom games. Maybe 14 hours or so a week.

Ah, my bad! I must have played you on your high masters one (you were rank 1 in your division ).

Hm ok TY. That averages out to 2 hours a day. The reason I asked is because I was wondering how much time people at the top put in to practice as I'm trying to make it in to GM atm. Currently I'm bouncing from rank 150 master- 400 ( so rank 350-600) and I try to put in 4-6 hours a day and watch a shit ton of streams and mainly NASL. I guess I just have a problem with my fundamental understanding of PvP and PvZ :/. ( My PvT seems fine)
On May 28 2011 13:11 Gattaca.usa wrote: I can't download the latest replay pack from the 27th, it just stalls on the megaupload site. Is there anyway someone can re upload it?
I really enjoy watching the games! thanks!
It seems to work fine for me Gattaca. I wonder if anyone else is having the same problem?
@Torte, I do post my progress in the Date log. For example: May 27th, Rank #30 to #23 - meaning I'm around #23 now.
Are there any replay (packs) you would highly suggest getting to someone out of these? I haven't been able to catch all the streams, and I'm curious if you think any of the games or packs are gems.
I'll probably get them all, but watching them all would be a long process
I suggest most of them as they show how to go from Rank 122 to Rank 12 in a matter of 1 week of playing. I'll be releasing much more after MLG and I believe they are all worth watching if you're trying to know what to do in every situation.
Good luck, Attero! Thanks for the replays. I've been watching you play for a while now (whenever HuK, White-Ra, Cruncher, TT1, IdrA, iNcontroL, ReSpOnSe, and many others weren't streaming ). Brotoss fighting!
Hey everyone. Now that MLG Columbus has passed and I clearly didn't practice enough. I am not going to make the same mistake with Anaheim and will resume streaming on the 20th of June. Enjoy the games as replays will be posted once again.
I can really relate to this. I'm also a top 100 GM player, and have been doing 5 hours each day for a local tournament, which I'm also considering maintaining this routine until Anaheim.
Fucked up thing is, I don't feel much progress. After the first 3 hours, it just feels like grinding sandpaper on a boulder.
Nice, very fun to watch. Unfortunately none of the VOD links beside the first and the last ones work for me. They take me to http://www.justin.tv/sc2attero/videos .
On June 16 2011 04:34 Attero wrote: It does appear that Justin.tv deletes videos if you have too many saved. Will try to talk to them about that. Thanks for the heads up Not_That.
There is also a feature on justin.tv where you can upload them to youtube using the highlights. I think that would be a good way to store your VOD's imo. Nice job nonetheless, keep up the great work. <3
New fan to your stream you are killing it on ladder hope you have some good results in some upcoming tourneys the skill is definitely there, but it's just like poker can be a world class player and keep getting knocked out in early rounds of play. Keep up the good work I am learning a lot from your stream!
Love you all! More games added and tomorrow is the first Viewer Session! First come first serve I will play with you guys and you will have your own games commentated!

For those who missed my stream last night, shame on you. 8 Epic games you must see from the new patch are up. Stream is LIVE: http://www.twitch.tv/sc2attero - Getting Rank 1 this week guys!
Hey guys! I'm back to laddering like a boss until I get Rank 1 with the new coming season. Here are 17 games you guys can enjoy and feast upon. Cheers & ♥ - Attero
Arguably my favorite protoss streamer in the game, besides White-Ra. Then again, I don't feel that anyone is a better streamer than him, except Day[9], but he doesn't stream his laddering. I mean, being second to them is also a compliment in itself, if you ask me.

I believe the 17 games he is referring to are in the Season 3 spoiler.~~
Yeah indeed the link was to this thread by accident. The replay is available now if you guys want to see how to win with carriers on Tal'Darim in PvT. Cheers & ♥

I'm angry at you for knocking my boy Technoboy out of the MLG open bracket TWICE! But good luck man You're an up and comer and I know you'll be big someday.
Keep it up Attero, the only reason I feel you were unfeatured is lack of frequent viewership caused by lack of consistent activity - if you can stream 1-2 hrs every 2nd day instead of 8 hours 1 day a week, you'll get a lot more consistent viewership.

He's the few professionals I believe has what it takes to make it to the top! Rank ~30 on SEA, has gotten Masters before on EU and top 10 in North America right now!
I'll be glad to hel u get refeatured (meaning I'll watch you more) it will be nice to know if u have any kind of schedule or something I usualy watch u cuz i love your music and you are up late
This happens tomorrow!!! So excited for him to be refeatured! I feel most people enjoy his games more when he commentates and talks a bit about what he's seeing. It's just straight-up smart.
Tell me if this works or not. Attero should either update his Liquipedia with all the achievements I've logged on the team page or just redirect people there: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Team_Dynamic

Yeah megaupload I guess isn't even up because I cannot get on it. Dunno if it is on their side or bad link.

Not to take away from him as he could totally take the top spot on NA or SEA and I wouldn't be all that surprised, but world rankings like that are completely meaningless lol. The ladders aren't even comparable and going by that metric the top 100 players would be 75% Chinese and 5% Korean, which we know is not true.

Tournament results and the players he's beaten consistently help back what you are skeptic about.
Attero is good, and I enjoy watching his stream because he actually talks about the game while he's playing. I've been trying to work on getting better myself recently, so I'll definitely check out those replays to help crisp up my builds :D

Not sure how you guys are able to watch all these games, but here are 58 of my newest replays. This time I included my games on Europe. Try to bear with the failed PvP games. Enjoy!
hey Attero, thanks a lot!!! Did start watching the 2nd from last pack, but with MLG replays out gonna watch them then those then the newest pack, got no replays to suddently have 3 stacked packs to watch :D
Need more time in a day lol Thanks os much!! Hope you keep doing it till you get to Number 1:D
This weekend was just for me to take a little break from all the tournaments I've played in the week. I also had coaching and the gf to care of. I'll probably stream after the NASL Finals, can't miss HerO!
I just started on the Korean ladder. My goal is to achieve Grandmaster on all servers and I will focus on Korea at the start of Season 5. 11 Replays uploaded from my games so far. Enjoy
Hey guys, just figured that you guys might be interested in some of Attero's replays during his run in the Homestory Cup NA Qualifiers where he got second defeating players (which are included in this replay) such as CheckSix Major and FnaticMSi's KawaiiRice.

As a bonus, I've included a game where he won against DarkCell, unfortunately, it did not count towards HomeStory due to technical difficulties with the brackets.
Congratulations on qualifying for the HSC man, that was really a nice run! I hope we'll see you in Germany soon! (btw. aren't the qualifiers scheduled too soon? Imagine you need to apply for a visa! :o)
On December 18 2011 18:21 Comadevil wrote: US and Canadians citizens don't need a visa for Germany
Yes, I know. That question wasn't directed to Attero specifically, but more of theoretical type. Imagine somebody from Latin America qualifying through the North American qualifiers (e.g. major) or somebody from china qualifying from the Korean qualifiers.
good luck attero for HSC..also I saw you got featured again..good job man..you are doing awesome..trust me, I have a good feeling that 2012 might be the year you break out as a star

Attero, I noticed your name on the HomeStory Cup list.. Were you invited or did you qualify? If so, when was the qualifier and who'd you beat that was notable to get to the top?

I also qualified for IEM Kiev (due to DDE not being able to go) and HomeStory Cup IV by defeating CheckSixMajOr and FnaticMSIKawaiiRice and fulfilled my goal by being invited to DreamHack WInter 2011
Ty was just watching for those replays a minute ago and realized u have uploeded some of them to another server
Ty very much edit : maybe i am dumb but i find no download button on the page and when i click save to rapidshare account it obviously wants me to register
I really don't know how you can find the time to watch them but a ton of replays are out from games played after the new season began. Also my stream schedule is set so please stay tuned tomorrow!

I knew this name sounded familiar, youre in my division!
You deserve so many more stream viewers. Your stream is the perfect mix of good gameplay, commentary and music! Only Artosis stream is on the same level (not higher).
Replays from my LAN ETS run have been posted. For info about the event itself: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=305792 Players like Kiwikaki, Slush, local stars such as AlexCmoi, Jakebake, and more participated in this 3500$+ SC2 tournament.
Ask and you shall receive - the beaver is generous tonight. All replays from my stream session today are available for your downloading pleasure. Watch how forge expands will be a thing of the past against zergs that do not want to take a gas. Enjoy!
Haha yh. Attero's stream was my favorite one since I started playing Sc2. The music was great and he is always talking while playing. Also the Playhems and stuff were always fun to watch.
Yeah it's been a while since I've seen his stream up. Hopefully he'll find the time to come back and show us some great games with the new ladder season.
For those who missed today's stream I played on the korean ladder for a good while. http://www.twitch.tv/sc2attero/b/314857397 - Tonight I managed to beat my bracket for MLG NA Online Qualifier and will be playing in the Invite-Only one on April 27th 2012. I will be uploading the replays tomorrow so watch for that!
As promised on Twitter/Facebook, the replays for my run through the MLG NA Open Online Qualifier are available for your downloading pleasure!!! Please leave comments and feedback!

Attero's stream has always served as not only great entertainment but a learning ground for me. He plays such a solid game you can learn so many things from.
Replays from games played today are available! See how I got to Rank 5 in North America GM with some new builds https://rapidshare.com/files/3255705172/S7_R2R1_-_April_22nd_2012.rar - Don't forget I am also casting the EWM Code A Qualifier from Monday through Thursday with KatuStarcraft starting every day at 12 PM EST.
You were always "one of those guys" who I would alias hear about and read your named but never actually think about. I never thought you were such a motivated and competitive player until I tuned into your stream. Good luck Attero!
Some may say it is a crime, but the beaver must be forgiven! I moved to calgary so indeed it has been a month since you've had fresh replays. But fear not, I have returned. For the beaver!
