Evil Geniuses and Bigfoot Networks are pleased to announce that they have teamed up once again to bring you another batch of Pro Tips featuring Greg 'IdrA' Fields.
A few months ago, we released several Pro Tips on Fragmore University which were received very positively by the community. However, the community demanded we up our quality to high-definition and focus on some of the more important matches IdrA has encountered.
Well, we listened and are pleased to announce that not only did we create our newest series in high-definition, but we've featured in-game instructional tool-tips as well as matches that were the favorites of fans. This series will also utilize a new replay review theme which will see IdrA commentating other players' important matches. Future "episodes" will feature opponents such as Liquid`Tyler, oGsMC, and others. New episodes will be posted every Tuesday and Thursday for two weeks. We hope you enjoy!

Exciting stuff from BFN and EG, awesome insight to what IdrA thinks in game!
Omg, this is back! Thank fucking God! This is pure awesome, though I wish he chose a better game to analyze.
Yayyyy. I loved the pro tips series, and this is great stuff so far. Game wasn't the best, but hey =]
Omg, this great! We get to dive into the mind of the Zerg master IdrA. You could watch like several hours worth of PvZ and not even come close to what this episode would give you, imo. I would definitely want to see more of this! Go IdrA!
You guys pick one of the best, cant be wrong... ya IdrA dont have a ''Day9'' personnality, but hes doing a great job. Do it more !!
Thanks for posting this, much appreciated!
Damn, loved the commentary. Seriously that was time well spent.
"And here we can see he's supply blocked..."
Lol, had to point that out didn'tcha?
waaaaaaiiiiitt
Fungal prevent sentry to cast spells ?! Since when ?
The last time i try that, i did with fungal on templars, and the templars could still cast Psystorm.
Btw, it's a great serie but Idra sound so forced into that.
I thought that fungal did not prevent casting spells other than blink and siege mode?
It prevents all spells from every caster as well as siege mode and dropships from dropping if I remember correctly.

So it doesn't stop Forcefields because that was what Idra was insinuating, no?
love this vid, its good to know the reasoning behind the play.
rofl, at the end i got a feeling that idra had a gun pointed at his head. He looked like a hostage who was forced to read the ransome note.
I just tested it, it does NOT prevent spellcasting, only mode change like siege, viking land and burrow. But I suppose having immobile sentries makes placing precise forcefields harder.

There are several different kinds of spells (or more correctly abilities), siege for example are a morph ability, same with viking. And obviously those kinds of abilities are prevented by fungal.
loved this! Idra is such a good analytical caster.
We need to have more of these!
Always exciting to hear IdrA commentate. He knows more about the game then most pro-gamers. Great work IdrA, EG and Kingston!
Anything with Greg saying words is awesome, especially when it involves high-level analysis. Thanks so much!
Absolutely loooovin' it!! IdrA's analytical way of approaching games is so cool.
I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THESE. Please keep the comin'

Fungal prevents forcefields indirectly, since the range of the spell is fairly short. While the sentry is unable to move, it can't walk to the front of the protoss army and lay forcefields in useful positions, splitting the zerg army.
Fungaled sentries are essentially only useful against rolling banelings or mass lings, since those are the only cases in which the protoss would want to forcefield right in front of their army.

Wow, i did not know what to expect when i saw this, but i have to say i really like it. I hope he will make some more of them. They are pretty useful. I mean most of the stuff is pretty obvious but there were some parts in there that i really did like!

It's kinda weird how the important words in the text at the bottom are "highlighted" in red, making them basically impossible to read, while all the words in white immediately jump out.

Yeah so true. I had to really strain to read what the red words said, especially when I'm not watching in a high resolution. I don't see how they looked over the video and thought that it was a good idea.

It's actually hilarious to see the FU for Fragmore University right behind Idra. Completely LOL. But I love his analysis! However I would like to see idra trying out baneling drops. Obviously his style is working well for him, but I wonder how he'd do with them.
Idra is an amazing caster. Very smart and thoughtful analysis.

He has used them before, but his opinion has been that the style of play which employs them is generally better suited for weaker opponents. For instance, he used that style while playing against MaNa in the NASL, where it was very effective.
Separately, I thoroughly enjoyed the commentary. The non-game parts were admittedly awkward, but anything that features IdrA's analysis is guaranteed to be informative.
I'm pissed we have to wait until Tuesday for the next installment! That was great!
I seriously can't get enough of IdrA analyzing games. He's a top player and no one can dispute he belongs in tournament play but since he's started casting he's gone in my mind from an amusing member of the professional community with trouble making antics or hilarious bad manners into A intelligent and well spoken professional player who has tremendous knowledge on a multitude of aspects, especially zerg related.
Please make more than just 4 episodes. I could watch more. A lot more.
Updated the OP with the next installment in the series. Enjoy, folks!
Great series! Keep it up for all us aspiring zergs
This was really interesting, great work and keep 'em comming.
Updated the OP with a new Replay Review. Enjoy
Updated the OP with the fourth video of the series. Enjoy
interesting he did a game vs MC... hes so calm yet deep down probably so angry
They give Idra 2 doses of elephant tranquilizer before he does these.
Strange that idra doesn't know fungal has the same range as colossus, both 9 o_o
thank you so much for those vids :D
So this is basically Idra vs. TL/oGs, hopefully more games come from outside this spectrum. Not saying this is a bad thing, just seems a bit strange
Edit: Saw the Tyler game was vs. Machine, but still seems odd
Need more of these
OMG, OGSMC! Not much ZvZ though ):
