TL Attack this week will be with special guest FnaticMSI.Sen. Sen just came off a third place win in NASL, beating Startale's July. When he won, his one wish was "I'd like to play on TL Attack." So here he is! If you want a chance to play against him, just log on to Bnet NA server and we'll be giving instructions on which channel to go to.
TL Attack will be hosted this weekend by TotalBiscuit and Hot_Bid. They will do everything in their power to distract Sen from playing well. We hear Sen believes sentries are imbalanced so be sure to use a lot against him. Kulas extreme and SC2BW may make an appearance as well. If you don't get in, don't worry, we'll be streaming every minute!
TeamLiquid Attack is a fun, casual event where a popular professional StarCraft 2 player plays custom 1v1s against community members. Typically, the player attempts creative or non-serious strategies while sharing friendly banter with the hosts. The show is a great way to get to know the personality of the popular player that might not normally be seen in serious ladder games or in tournaments.

Hot_Bid, make this happen:
TL Attack this week will be with special guest EG.iNcontrol. TL Attack will be hosted this weekend by TotalBiscuit and TBA
It seemed like for the last few TLAs the hosts were only picking Masters players. What chance does this Taiwanese (albeit in the USA) Silver player have of playing against his fellow countryman?

Randomly, I dunno why, I decided to Google the English translation of what you said, and fittingly the first hit was for a Sister Hazel song lyric. Alas, the words are in the lyrics but not all together.

One is not allowed to state ones opinion unless it's taking part of the circlejerk where everyone loves each other? It's like seeing girls on Facebook where everyone is su pruudy and they luuuuv each other.

Oh well.
He is obviously joking about the ban. I for one though, prefer Hot Bid as a caster for these events, his trolling and quick responses keep things flowing smoothly.. I think the best combo would be Nony/Hot_Bid for Ultimate trolling. I am excited to see how TB does, I think it will be a great pair. Seriously every single one of these events has been great and I have enjoyed all the casters, so I don't care who they pick you wont get complaints from me until I have at least heard the episode .
It really should be Day9 casting, imagine 2 hours of Sen calling Day9 a noobie while Day9 makes up the most ridiculous challenges to try and make Sen lose, it would be hilarious
Sen has really impressed me all of the time and he plays extremelly well, unfortunately I do not know much about him and his personality (except the joke which Day9 mentioned recently). Should be interesting!
I hope that you will invite another good terran player to one of the next events ; ) I heard Rain speaks good English, if this is the case maybe he can receive an invite? :p
Have a ZvP in which Sen can only produce zerglings and the protoss can only produce sentries. Would be great to find a protoss with good forcefield micro for this...also would probably have allow the protoss to make one zealot (no more) for 6 pool defense...that or maybe have it that Sen has to expand before attacking.
Also would be nice to see an island map. Debris field is the official Blizzard one but is kind of small. Island Hop (the classic from SCBW) has been converted over to SC2 and could be fun.
Having Naniwa go mass probe was the coolest thing from two weeks ago...could be interesting having Sen try this as well...can only attack with drones. With mass expanding zerg this might work... Sen would have to do the mineral harvest trick for quick surrounds and getting past chokes like Naniwa did though (opposition probably would have to be limited to no air). Maybe allow spines for Sen...
Someone may already have mentioned it but I think there should be a grudgematch between SEn and the Noobie that is Day9 (see day9's funday monday of july 11). This is the perfect opportunity.

Very brave of you to make a new account just to post that. They aren't helping him anyways, are you telling me that Sen didn't have vision of his own base to see him lose it?

ofcourse it was a joke. He said if theres no one to play you I'll google BW and be fine im sure....if someone doesnt see that as a joke I dont know what else needs to be said...
On July 18 2011 04:33 aNDRoM wrote: TB, you're not endearing yourself to TL...
Most people on TL hate TB anyways.
Most people equals yourself in that sentence? I'd like to see your survey..
In most LR threads i see people loving and hating him in equal amounts, prolly it isn't in complete equilibrium but saying the majority on TL hates him seems improbable.. If he actually was That despised i doubt TL would ask him to cast this.
i think hydras are actually moving too fast... will need to check that. *EDIT* although... nope. seems it's right, i guess they just look super speed being so small

god good episode but holy christ who even finds hotbid funny other then immature 12 year olds? he tries so hard its annoying. One worse TL attacks in terms of commentary thanks to his horrible fail trolling otherwise it was good.
SC2BW matches should be a highlight where you get another ex BW player. WhiteRa vs Day9! Gogogo! Please? Day9 loves WhiteRa, you gotta get him on as a player if not a host.
Thank you very much Sen, Hot_Bid and TB. Really great episode, Sen is an awesome and funny guy and the two hosts luckily worked well together this time. Looking forward to next week's TL Attack with (maybe?) White-Ra!
Maybe Hot_Bid dragged the "beach" joke on too long, maybe he didn't - who cares, it was a fun show.
Great episode, I think Hotbid just at least be co-host for all of these. And if Whitera is on next time/week it will be a lot of fun since we'll see a shit lot of special tactics for sure. And please, please, get Day 9 to play SC2BW next time, in generel I find the SC2BW matches to be the highlights of each episode, you might want to make them the main focus and make whoever is on play more of those.
Still got my fingers crossed for a semi-casual SC2BW tournament between pros where players like Day9 can posibly participate without the pressure of showing extremely high level games.

I listened like 30-40 min and had some good laughs. I dont get all the TB hate, his jokes/comments seem wittier than those of other commentators. Ill try to catch the VOD later.

Unfortunately I'm actually quite dumb and don't remember what made me say that, feel free to ignore it. ^^
Luckily, however, I don't really feel the need to back up personal opinions, especially since I'm a pretty big TB fan on the whole. :D

Not to rag on TB too much, but it seemed like he was pretty uncomfortable throughout the show. I mean, it's difficult for a primarily play-by-play caster to sit down and do an Attack style show where it's more about hosting than commentating or casting. Added to that, the language barrier made it even harder (although jokes misfiring and awkward silences can be fun in their own way...). All things considered, he did a good job, but still... I wish one of the hosts was someone closer to/more familiar with Sen (one of the old BW pros, for instance) as I'd imagine they would be a lot more comfortable communicating with him.
Also, HB's Chinese is so bad :D.
Anyway, despite all that, it was a great show with my favorite player in the world. Looking forward to the next one!
This was amazing, one of the best so far. I hope we do see WhiteRa next time, and I think someone should try and get Mondragon as well. So many good choices, and once again loved the SC2BW map, thanks Mav for your work on it.

It wasn't a particularly comfortable experience no. I am extremely experienced with talk shows and interviews, been doing them for a decade now, but not in an environment where I can't effectively communicate with my guest and I don't know my cohost. It's absolutely not their fault, but it wasn't a perfect fit by any means.
However, it doesn't matter all that much since most people seemed to enjoy it, it was pretty awkward for me, regardless it was fun.
