On second thought... wtf... we're totally being duped here guys.

No. In fact, I'm embarrassed that we're all falling for it.
In addition, I propose we examine the amount of business SC2 provides and plot it on a line graph next to the amount of business all other MLG disciplines provide combined, then on another line graph, plot the proportions of the prize pools. I imagine sundance with a troll face going "problem?"
Actually, he probably wouldn't acknowledge it at all... he'd just do this thing with replays again... "HEY, LOOK OVER THERE!!!!"
pay no attention to the man behind the curtain folks......
What brand of foil do you prefer for your hats?

The only foreseeable risk that could come from releasing replays is releasing the names of the caster accounts that users can then brute force to add to friends list.
This risk is non existent because MLG showed the caster account names multiple times on stream.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeee. :D
I put so much work into being able to automatically grab replays from the computers and upload them in real time, I was disappointed to find out we wouldn't be releasing them.

I think it's much more likely they honestly did intend to withhold the replays at first. The community outcry nudged them back in the right direction.... Then finally, when NASL released their replays, I think that's what pushed them over the edge. No way MLG was going to let NASL try and one-up them like that.

But, honestly, I'm not sure if we would ever see these replays it it wasn't for the community's outcry to begin with. All in all, I'm thankful that it all turned out okay at the end. As the old adage goes, you never know what you have until you lose it. These replays I'm sure will be even more appreciated than before. Well to be clear, I personally wouldn't have any problems with an organization NOT releasing replays. I'm pretty used to the Brood War korean scene and the GSL not releasing replays. That's not the issue I have. When the Koreans and the GSL say they don't want to release replays because they don't want to hand out pro player builds... that's PERFECTLY fine with me. If MLG said they didn't want to release replays for the same reason, or even for money reasons - again that's fine with me as long as they are straight up about it. I'm not fine with lying about it or with hand waving.
They. Were. Not. Lying.
Read that until you understand those 4 words. At best you can accuse them of poor word choice.

My thanks to Sundance and everyone involved with getting this released, clearly the correct decision.

This is incorrect because the tables were flipped when they were not releasing replays. Now they are flipping them back.

R1CH from here at TL, the one who manages all tech related stuff at TL, confirmed it. If you don't have reason to believe what you're saying, don't say it. You obviously didn't have enough evidence to support your belief since it was already shown to be false.

Yup,
MLG An't perfect but they make good shit happen more often than not, glad to see they were working on making people happy.

Be sure to support them now guys! I'm certainly going to. TY BROS!

Gonna need the replays since the VODs (if you can find them) are buggy, out of order, and generally imposssible to navigate. I love MLG, don't get me wrong, but before they up their prize pools I REALLY wish they would spend more than $100 on a website/developer because this has been the most frustrating experience I think I have ever had with a website. Thank God I have TL, if it were just MLG I would have never a) found my voucher code or b) found the VODS (which you can only access with a direct link afaik)
for serious, this website functions like a high school project, they need R1CH soooo bad >.<

Already bought my membership and was waiting for this to be announced, MLG proves yet again that they LISTEN, perhaps the most important trait of what is becoming a model for success in e-sports organization. Honestly, the fact that MLG and TL are able to work together, with MLG providing the event/staff/venue and TL providing support in the form of a coverage portal and player lounge, is a sign that there is indeed something wonderfully unique about how the Sc2 community is willing to put aside organizational differences and simply celebrate the game we all love. Keep on impressing, MLG and TL, and I'll keep on supporting.

It's a big conspiracy. MLG convinced R1CH to lie as well...

Gonna pass up an unbelievable urge to troll you hard here, but I'll just leave it at - I'll just agree to disagree with you.
