Hot off the press - Samuli 'Acer | elfi' Sihvonen has joined Team Acer after being teamless. He will attend GC New York and GC Guangzhou!
Source: http://www.aceresport.com/uk/news/144.htm
+ Show Spoiler +Team Acer is ecstatic to announce a new addition to the StarCraft II team today. The team has already made a name for themselves not only thanks to their great results but also due to the fact that it notably only contained Zerg players. Today we will step away from that division as we announce a new Finnish Protoss player to join our ranks; his name is Samuli 'Acer | elfi' Sihvonen. Acer | elfi doesn't have to be introduced to anyone following the StarCraft II scene. The Finnish player has recently qualified for the Global Challenge Guangzhou in China and Global Challenge New York in the United States. We are proud to announce that Team Acer will send Acer | elfi to these events in the near future! Acer | elfi made a great case for himself to be picked up by Team Acer at Assembly Summer 2011 LAN. Here the Finnish player finished first in his group which featured players such as oGs.NaDa, LiquidHaypro and NightEnd! His victory against NaDa was especially inspiring. We look forward to seeing Acer | elfi acheiving more great results with Team Acer! Acer | elfi gave aceresport.com the following statement: "Hey everyone, I'm happy to be given the chance to join Team Acer. I've been working hard for something like this and now I have even more motivation to continue playing. I will for sure get better with help of my new team and teammates. I hope I can bring good results for Acer and now I will start concentrating for my next event IEM Guangzhou." As mentioned above, your next opportunity to see Acer | elfi in action will be at GC Guangzhou and GC New York - don't miss out!
Update 1: Elfi has been interviewed on the Acer website --- http://www.aceresport.com/uk/content/53.htm
"Well I would like to focus on every tournament, but having GC Guangzhou GC New York and IeSF in same month I will have to go from tournament to tournament without visiting home. It will be hard hard to focus on any of those; I will just have to practice a lot and not focus on just one of them. It will be a lot easier to focus on WCG since I don't have to worry about other tournaments at that time."

Well, good pick up for Acer for sure. Good luck to both.
Happy moment for elfi but sad one for Starcraft fans world wide, no longer can we make jokes about the Zerg only Team Acer!
Very nice pickup although I didn't quite expect it. I personally had expected Elfi to join the finnish team called Fightline.
That's awesome! Elfi is so solid, can't wait til IEM China!
i tought elfi had joined flightline with naama o.o nevertheless gratz to elfi and team acer on their pickup
Acer... has a team... ? :o
I never heard of elfi, but congrats nonetheless.
Acer really hasn't produced anything and elfi is on the rise so it could be a good situation for both

Oh... when I read "Acer" I instantly thought "ACERGAME". But it's Mondragon's team... ah, that makes sense now.

Haha I know of Nerchio and Mondragon as well, but it had seemed that Mondragon disappeared after TSL to me, and I always thought he was on ToT or mym. No idea who paranoid, osho, kaoru, and elfi are though .

Wait, they didn't get another Zerg? Poor form, Acer.

this hurts ^^
Mondragon was in ToT in Sc1 and in MYM in sc2 Paranoid was one of the best polish sc1 gamers and mondragon said he expect alot of him in sc2, osho did some pretty nice runs in some tournaments i think this nordic ones and is from (israel?) and elfi is a super strong finish protoss who beat even NADA 2-1 in the assembly tournament
hard to see all the oldschoolers unknown nowadays and even some who beat top koreans in offline tournaments xD
I read it as Elky
yeah, paranoid made it to WCG one year... I remember him having a good start on Outsider, and fairing better than koll zvp vs the koreans... I remember koll having like 10 sunken colonies and no army
That was quick Just heard about him being teamless yesterday.
I know who all of them are except for Kaoru.

Well Kaoru is the manager - I listed him mainly since he's quite well known in the community
Awsome for elfi, glad he found a team and i think acer will be more proffesional then virus
Yay elfi, my second favorite Finnish Protoss. <3
Nice pickup for Acer.

Yeah, Osho is from Israel. Here's a video of him playing in IeSF Israeli Qualifiers
Nerchio is just a genius in ZvZ... his ZvT and ZvP are far behind that of others european zerg. imo
atleast he gets lots of PvZ training
GL, i enjoy elfi's games alot hopes for best
