Vile Gaming is proud to announce its addition of Canadian SC2 player Zac "Chance" Palmer to it's lineup. Even now, Chance is settling in at MLG Providence where he will be competing in the open bracket.
With an extremely impressive run in the IPL3 qualifier and a consistently high standing in the ladder, Vile Gaming and it's players are excited to have him as part of the team.
Resident Vancouver ESPORTS enthusiast Uyuu held the following interview with Chance on his joining:
Uyuu: Now that you're with Vile, what goals do you have for the future as a professional gamer?
Chance: One of my biggest priorities was to find a team with an active and competitive roster, with people like State/Ddoro/Domorin/Illusion I think I've found that . In terms of my other goals they remain pretty small and simple, like making my practice more consistent, refining builds and keeping up to date with the meta game. I guess one of my more outlandish goals would be to compete against stephano and beat him since he was able to take me out of the last MLG!
Uyuu: As a Zerg player that defeated MarineKingPrime 2-0 in the IPL #4 Qualifier, would you say that ZvT is still your strongest matchup?
Chance: Yes by far and I think that has more to do with the meta game stabilizing, I'm a creature of habit and practice so the more predictable a MU becomes I exponentially do better. ZvP was my strongest up until the infestor change which completely changed how the game is played, now Protoss deviate quite a bit and there is no true structure to their play. ZvZ is a gongshow.
Uyuu: For those that don't know, you'll be competing at MLG Providence. How far do you believe you'll make it in the tournament?
Chance: Reasonably far... you can think of MLG for Koreans playing as the AWAY team, meaning they have a lot more external issues to work with. It's still an insane challenge to beat a full fledged korean but your chances are significantly better in a foreign event. Coupled with my experience at past MLGs I have a much better seed so the early open bracket will be a breeze.
All in all I'm feeling quite confident and ready to represent my new team vile as well as looking forward to a long lasting partnership .
Thank you all for reading, and keep an eye out for Chance and the rest of Team Vile at MLG Providence this weekend.
Congratulations to both Chance and vile! I hope to see your presence in more tournaments soon and this certainly is a step in the right direction! Good luck to both parties at MLG Providence!
LOL I was so confused at the title until I realized he is a player. I thought it was like Vile gaming's BIG chance to perform at MLG. Still awesome news.
Whenever we play on ladder I get utterly destroyed (I like to blame it on the fact that we only ever play on tal darim), but I think that his games vs Strelok and such prove that he's top notch player.
People saying this is the way Vile is gonna come into MLG hard, did people forget ddoro went from open bracket to pool play? lol
The full roster minus vileDomorin and vilePsY will be in attendance at MLG Providence. Chance, Hawk, State, Ddoro, Spanishiwa, Sync, Hashe and Illusion all comin from open bracket, I'm hoping no team kills until Finals!
Chance is such a beast. I'm guessing he left VP when they merged with CheckSix?
He didn't mention Psy, for good reason obviously, but that makes me wonder why Psy doesn't train to enter tournaments. I think he'd fair decently well if he just put some effort in.
I do like Vile's HasHe. Learned a lot about mech on his stream lol. Havent seen his stream for a while though...
Will he be at mlg providence as well??
Kiwikaki is my favourite Canadian player though... his play is so unconventional, he always makes for great sets... sad he never gets very far in tourneys anymore...
so sick, vile definitely one of the most underrated teams in terms of sponsorships. I think they definitely deserve some big sponsors as a lot of their players are super mannered and very good.

HasHe is still on Vile, hes been streaming often too, its just since the last TL.net update, he was removed as a Featured Streamer, but he is still playing and streaming.
