Parting walking the Royal Road would be one hell of a story!

Royal Road = winning a star league on your first appearance in it. If Parting wins this GSL season, he'll be the first person to pull that off in SC2, since I don't think Fruitdealer really counts since that was EVERYONE'S first GSL.

Getting 0-2'd by MC and he still has that kinda confidence. Pretty bold. I hope he doesn't fade out after people start punishing his greedy builds

The real challenge for all these hyped Protoss players is twofold.
1) Get into Code S/do well in Code A
2) Stay there, and adapt to continue to do well.
So far, the only hyped new Protoss who managed to come close to a Royal Road is Oz. He's currently in Code A, and he has proved himself for the first part, and now it's his chance to prove the second part.
I foresee Parting being similar: making a good splash, but having to prove his staying power.

Immortal range. Upgrades costs. None of those are massive alone, the really P favoured maps are already gone. CBTS is gone, most maps are considered either Zerg favoured or balanced. PvZ is still a really unexplored matchup, so while I don't see P buffs as necessary (for PvZ), it's not like Zerg are totally screwed right now. I guess protoss is never supposed to win in your eyes and if they do start approaching even 50% for even a month the whining begins with zergs. Actually in Korea it's currently ~55% for Protoss. http://imgur.com/a/hQHYSOf course, internationally PvZ is horrific, but that's not the highest level of play. Once mass Muta into BL/Infestor starts getting figured out, international PvZ should get much better. If you look properly December was 55% for Protoss, January was 55% for Zerg. That things can flip around that much with no big patches going on just shows that it's a very small sample size and that both sides can win the matchup fine. MC has always been super confident against Zerg, it doesn't have much to do with the current state of PvZ.
Small sample size... yet Protoss are always the first to jump and point to GSL to prove their inferiority or to prove the OPness of Terran.

It feels like MC just did 2 interviews and they put a picture of Parting on top of it
Nice to see that there are other, really confident players out there who are not afraid to show it.

Great interviews , MC vs parting final is possible by the way these guys played today.

So MC wants to play himself in the finals?

Parting looks really good PvT and decent PvZ (from what i have seen)
But I cannot see him beating any good tosses on the big stage (MC, Puzzle and Genius if he advances)
IF he avoids a PvP series, i wouldn't be all that surprised if he did get to the final and perhaps even won the whole thing. Although, if i was a betting man, i would put my money on mma.

MC's games leave little room for interpretation, but I am going to give it a try anyway.
Two PvT's against Ganzi, both 2 base gateway timing attacks. How did the games turn out so one-sided? MC popularized this timing, so let's assume he's pretty decent at it, but shouldn't the skill cap be pretty low for a rush like this? I'm sure GanZi will have faced this countless times in his practice.
First game, Ganzi sneaks out 9 marines bypassing the stalker. Eventually he loses them but it was an agreeable decision. But being down 9 in army I guess the zealot/stalker army was just too strong. I believe MC had pretty high confidence his timing would work on such few bunkers+ smaller terran army, hence pure zealot/stalker was enough by him.
Second game was slightly more confusing. Ganzi went a more standard 3 rax even with stim ready before the push, AND he scouted the proxy pylon. But he still doesn't hold. I feel like he could have held if there were no sentries to stop him from taking advantage of the stim. More bunkers and scv's I guess?

Guys, you're all missing the point. Didn't you see one of MC's practice partners?
oGs_Galikgun
That just proves that oGs is not short of talent when they have someone that is literally over 9000.
Also Parting's confidence is awesome, we need more arrogant players

It is in fact not based on ladder but tournaments results

Basically, every foreign Protoss player sucks at using forcefield, and it is very difficult for a Terran to know if their build is safe to a 6 gate. MC is still the only Protoss player where I think the forcefields are intelligently placed and well conserved.

love that startale swagger from parting, after watching basically every ksl/esv weekly game of parting i would have to say his pvt is much better than his pvz though
thanks for the translation
