As emotionally invested as people are on this topic, TL rules still apply. That includes flaming and ad hominem attacks. |

My opinion after skimming over the 138 pages:
1) Destiny got pitchforked by the same ridiculous PC idiots that cost orb his career in eSports. Problem is this won't go away when you have people like Alex Garfield going nuts over any non-100%-PC statement from a player (who isn't on EG, his players get free passes for racism on stream).
2) Destiny, as well as any other pro, has a right to a private life and what he says in private, even if leaked in public, should not affect him negatively, unless it crosses into the realm of illegality.
3) Bluetea should face consequences for her childish response to the whole fiasco. I hope Destiny sues.
4) The girl is indeed pretty ugly, not gonna lie. Then again, gaming community standards aren't exactly Hollywood's.
5) Whoever snitched and leaked the conversation should be life-banned from TL and shunned by the community for years to come for causing this shitfest.
My 2 cents

Also, I'm willing to bet Bluetea goes 100% unpunished for this, just because she has a vagina in-between her legs. Don't forget eSports is the place where women get sponsorships for having 10% of the skills required for men to be sponsored.
Vagina = Money
But shush, don't tell that to feminists, you have to understand, you dumb males, it's obvious that sexism only exists when females are the victims.

this is pretty silly. you guys may care about the morals of it all and who should be punished and who is in the right etc etc, but what it really comes down to is money.
if something retarded happens on a team and costs sponsors(the people who actually make it possible) their money, then the team must do something about it. who is in the right means zero. zilch. it doesnt matter. they have to make money and if people watching arent thinking oh i like these guys, then the sponsors are getting shafted.
root had to kick destiny because all of a sudden he was shafting their sponsors. its just business. and its the way it should be. as far as whos actually getting the short end of the stick, its whoever invested into his career. meaning him root and roots sponsors. cant just be like oh they should let it go unpunished because its not fair. its about the money and whats fair has nothing to do with business
personally, i think some wise words destiny should have heard earlier in his life are dont piss where you walk. in other words, dont fuck around sexually with people you work with because its where you are everyday. go on a website where you can meet girls you will never see again if youre into cyber. it will always bite you in the ass

The problem is you're trying to apply your arbitrary standard to people talking about meaningless things. For all you know, there's someone with a preexisting grudge against you that will use the excuse that talking about someone's unflattering jaw line is an asshole move, and then group together and write angry letters to your manager about it. The actual solution is to just chill out. Furthermore, in this case, as has been said many times, the specific phrasing you're talking about is his explaining the quality of the pic, because sometimes people don't photograph well. And some people happen to be fat, what's the big deal? Everyone's body is different.

Do you seriously see nothing wrong with a feminist hate group deliberately getting a guy fired, because he committed the heinous crime of hurting a woman's feelings?
Do you see nothing wrong with the hypocrisy, sexism, and double standards being thrown around by pussy-pedestaling white knights throughout this thread?
None of that is worth discussing?

- the feminist hate group is persecuting bluetea? going to assume that's a typo rather than just you being utterly ignorant.
- are you asking me to tilt at the miserably vulgar straw man reading "pussy on a pedestal"? not interested, doesn't apply to me.
- the point of invoking eye-for-an-eye was in the initial interaction between destiny and bluetea that they had more agency over. once reddit got hold of it, the entire concept falls apart because you have different, self-interested and otherwise, actors fanning the flames. the reason some of us are sparing bluetea so much for her initial retaliatory action (even though, it must be said, it probably would have been better for all involved for bluetea to have chalked it up to destiny being an irredeemable bitch and moved on) is twofold:
1) personal feelings of violation: bluetea had some of the most personal information imaginable shown to neutral parties. to some people (not enough of them...) this affords her some room for purely emotional revenge - revenge that may well not have happened on anywhere near the same scale without destiny's own security failings. a perfect storm of fuckery, and in the most banal sort of way, a 1-1 score. why does destiny need to escalate it any further, sabotage his own career further, and further prove what plenty of people are walking away from this thinking: he's way too immature for this e-sports stuff.
2) destiny's role in every step: none of this had to happen, none of it was foretold. there are so many different places along the way where destiny could have done better, not the least of which is not sharing nude photos. no matter how many times internet tough bros have said "everyone does it"...it's simply not true, the world isn't big enough for that many enormous assholes.
edit: I know the first thing said is going to be "so bluetea posting his junk is fine?" and the answer is no, it's not. the problem is that it's so much easier to pin the othering, discriminatory behavior and dickishness on destiny because of his history. it's not some abstract war of the genders, it's simply another black mark on destiny and I assure you a lot of the motivation in this thread for one side is because we're fucking tired of hearing this guy's antics anywhere near e-sports.
