FXOpen e-Sports is happy to announce our reunion with Twitch.tv. Future FXOpen e-Sports events and player streams will be broadcast on Twitch.tv.
We look forward to bringing you as much content as possible, throughout the week players will be alternating turns streaming each day and will bring at least 11 hours of content per day via personal streams in addition to our events.
Kevin Lin, Twitch COO We are pleased to welcome FXO back to Twitch. FXO is one of the most educated organizations when it comes to the business of streaming, and we look forward to working closely with them to make Twitch and FXO the very best we both can be.
Daniel 'Unstable' Siddel, FXOpen e-Sports General Manager We are glad that we could come to a mutally beneficial arrangement with Twitch.tv, we look forward to pushing the boundaries on their platform and online streaming to bring us both to new heights.
To those wondering, why does FXOpen always switch providers? The answer is simple, we will always put our players interests ahead of any other, each time we have moved services it was to increase the income they could earn and increase the viability of all our events, FXO has always been transparent in all financial areas of our events. In regards to youtube yes it still does provide a higher passive income, however thanks to the sponsorship by twitch.tv in addition to their regular services we have brought the gap close enough to be worthwhile for our events and players to come back to twitch. Both twitch and FXOpen have been very candid and open during out discussions and as this continues I only see things getting better for both parties.
FXOpen e-Sports is proudly sponsored by Razer Professional Gaming Hardware. + Show Spoiler [More about Razer] +Razer has been a pioneering supporter of e-Sports since its conception. Youtube didn't quite pan out it seems :B Welcome back!
Youtube streaming is terrible.
Looking forward to some Leenock streams
I didn't like the scheduled way you guys were streaming on youtube. Just let people stream on their own at their own time.
Congratz to both parties :D

Our practice schedule is extremely tight and specific. During practice hours they will have scheduled sessions that are worked into everything, outside of that they can do it whenever they want.

So this was the secret sponsor that bossman was talking about! gratz

Grats to both parties, but what happened to YouTube and the huge thing that was coming up that they couldn't talk about?

Twitch.tv not willing to leave any grasp on the esport streaming market. Interesting move, but i think it was nice to have one team going for Youtube just for the sake of diversity
11hours a day, sick training shedule :D
this is the korean advantage, hardest training you can imagine.
each FXOpen player will be taking turns to stream every day for a minimum of 11 hours So a new player each day will stream for 11 hours? Or players will alternate within the 11 hour stream?
own3d needs to step up. Monopoly can't be good.
Great! Twitchtv, my favorite among streaming websites. FXO. my favorite among all foreign teams. So win-win here

They will alternate sorry for the wording, I will edit it.
Smart. Twitch doing good work, as always.
Thank god they came to their senses. Youtube streaming is just bad.
Congrats to both parties and its awesome that we don't have to watch leenock and co on youtube with it being so new and missing a lot of the things twitch and own3d do a lot better.
I guess Youtube didn't work out?
Congratulations!
Awesome! Congratz!

Interesting, seeing how Boss praised Youtube, and at the same time said Twitch weren't too good. But I guess the terms have changed.

Nothing has changed, Think of it this way
Youtube income = A Twitch income = B
A is > B
but then enter
twitch sponsorship = C
B+C = just under A but good enough to come back

I remember a few months back when FXO announced they were banking on youtube. Where do your staff comes from again ? Oh that's right a forex broker. It doesn't surprised me ...
I'm greek Australian.... I assume you are french?
Now germans can watch again.
11 Hours? Holy, that's a lot of hours.

i wonder if FXO are concerned about other teams looking at the vods to prep, since 11 hours is a LOT of vods to study ;p
If that means I get to watch Gumiho stream on twitch instead of lagtube, I'm all for it. I will be looking forward to it and congratulations.
Great news! I quite missed the FXO streams to be honest.
On October 11 2012 16:13 Dodgin wrote: so much for the youtube streaming revolution ;o
Revolution? Maybe devolution. YouTube live streaming has been consistently impossible to watch for me, regardless of what stream it was, when it was being broadcast, what browser I used and other details of this nature. Like the bloody thing just would never load. I mean Twitch has its fair share of issues, but they're not too prevalent for me to get pissed. Sure, it sucks if you get some terrible terrible lag for a few hours on one random day out of the month, but it sure as hell beats not being able to watch in the first place. Rofl.
i actually enjoyed the youtube streaming more than i enjoy twitch, because of the horrible commercial system. but just slightly. congrats to fxo. thebest fighting!
Glad to see the move back to Twitch. I hate to see SC2 streamers on other sites as they get such low viewer numbers compared to Twitch, which pretty much has most of the SC2 viewers loyal to it. I for one only look on Twitch for streams and if there is nothing on there I want to watch will I venture over to other sites. Competition is good and helps raise prices for everyone- but us members of the general public are lazy when it comes to looking for content. Plus as much as some hate it chat is really good in Twitch aslong as their is a decent Mod preventing the trolls and spammers.

On October 11 2012 16:13 Dodgin wrote: so much for the youtube streaming revolution ;o Without TL.net embeds it was genuinely going nowhere. Somewhere, in a dark room, Nazgul and his TLAF masters are busy laughing, gesturing with their hands, and generally looking evil and ominous.

They still had streams though under a schedule I could stand for.

haha.. youtube streaming is not mature enough yet i guess.
happy to see you back on twitch.

This is awesome. I've always considered FXO to be one of the most "legit" Korean teams, in that they are open with information, seem to have excellent management/player rapport, and BoSs always brings very interesting stuff to light on the forums. 'Bout damn time Twitch

Well that isn't even half as fun as I wanted it to be. Well, it is fun, just not as scandalous.

I thought youtube was the future or whatever.
Edit: Read Unstable's post. I get it. Grats!

Great, hopefully when I go to the twitch homepage I only see 5 featured LoL streams
