MajOr has once again come back to ROOT, CatZ makes a post about it on the ROOT team forum, there is now a clause in his contract regarding his move to a KeSPA team if a spot comes up.
At ROOT Gaming, we let Juan chase this dream -- contract or no, there's no way we would force somebody to play for us if they wanted to fulfill a dream like that. Juanito decided ROOT is his home, and although his dream of joining a KeSPA team remains, he decided that he would want to stay with ROOT at least until that dream becomes a reality. KeSPA teams are still an option for Juan, but we are letting Juan back into his contract with ROOT Gaming. If a time comes when he is offered the opportunity to join a KeSPA team, We have added an exception clause allowing Juan to go KeSPA.
Awww, I thought MajOr would find a KeSPA team At least ROOT is forgiving to allow MajOr to return. Best of wishes to Juan in ROOT (for the third time).
Dunno if most of the posts so far are troll posts or if you guys are serious.
This move was a very obvious one to be honest. ROOT wanted MajOr, MajOr likes root but wanted to join a KeSPA team. ROOT accepts MajOr with the new clause.
Yes yes, best for both parties, and thus very predictable. Congratz to both parties!
Can't there just be a single thread for major for whenever he switches teams. Glad to know that ROOT and Major have a mutual understanding of their relationship.

You make it sound like there was bad blood when he left but as far as I remember they were understanding about his wish back then already.
This is no different than someone being in [GsP], but also being on SKT, yellow being in ...[nc] or whatever... that's how i look at it, even if it has annuity

Liquid is certainly NOT a KeSPA team. MajOr does not at all fit the usual type of player Liquid recruits (marketable, long-term investment). And even if Liquid was technically a KeSPA team for joining SPL, then it is clear that MajOr is not looking for that kind of team. It would be a terrible fit for both parties.
Will LeiYa stay on? From some of the interviews since Major's departure and her re-signing it seems that Major not being on the team was a factor in her being with ROOT.

Read the OP.
He means when Major left for the 2nd time obviously. We all assumed it was because he was pursuing joining a KeSPA team. Probably didn't make it in and now he wants to go back to ROOT until he can join a KeSPA team for sure.
Major is such an interestingly player to follow. That's the first time I've read a statement like that, bringing a player back into the fold and giving them an out if they want to leave for their dreams again.
For people thinking he can't make up his mind, all he's doing is staying with ROOT until he can find a KeSPA team. His ambitions haven't changed at all. CatZ is being very nice by allowing him to stay on ROOT for the time being.

Sorry finding a Kespa team didn't work for you Major.
You do realize how difficult it is to join a kespa team? I know many progamers from korea and i talk to them regularly and it's not going to happen in a while that some foreigner joins a kespa team like that. It takes a long time before they actually gives you a chance to do that.
This is starting to piss me off. Eventually people should stop letting him onto their teams when he's always going to be looking at something else... it's a bit abusive to Root. Whatever.

I would have figured this would have been the case the first time he left. I thought he already had something lined up with a Kespa team. Either way, Juan strikes again!

I thought it was his dream to leave Root and go for a korean team or something? I remember a Catz telling us all how it was Major's dream, so he left Root. Now Major is back. So, if Major finds another dream, is he gonna leave Root again?
"oh hey catz, my dream didn't work out, so can I chill with you guys until I find something new? Thanks bud" - Major.
I don't wanna bitch or anything, but the more often he will do this kind of thing, the less chances he has to maybe join a KeSPA team IMO. I doubt these teams are interested in someone who can't make up his mind even if he's a good player. He should just stick with one team, get as many results as possible and switch when he will be 100% sure he can join a KeSPA team. I know that if I was a KeSPA team manager, I wouldn't want to have someone like him on my team.
Dont stop believing, hold on to that feeling Major. What are the chances that a Kespa team will actually hire him though? Unless its to snipe HuK and Thorzaine and Idra while getting higher-than-normal viewership for the proleague.

Suerte Juan, never give up. Take your time, proly sometime in the future you'll be enjoying the KeSPA effect.
Can someone please compile a complete list of all the clans major has been in ? That would be interesting just to see. :-P GL MajOr! I hope you join SKT instead one day ^^.
I was getting suspicious about the lack of announcements of him joining a KeSPA team. I guess now I know why I haven't heard anything. Oh well. Welcome back to ROOT, Major! For once, I really can't fault you for leaving.
How does he expect to be taken seriously by a KESPA team if he team switches so much?,Surely he is hurting his own chances of joining a KESPA team by switching and changing his mind so much, i know he is a very talented player, but i'm sure the korean teams would rather have someone more 'reliable' who can actually stick with something for more than 5 minutes.
The community makes a big fucking deal out of everything. He went back to his family who still considered him family because he can't complete his dream yet. He isn't 'team hopping'. He was teamless for the short duration. Just shut up with your dramatic posts and read the OP. -_-
Major is probably better than several players on team 8, to be honest. But they might be worried about picking up a foreigner and having to deal with language/cultural stuff.
This looks like a dysfunctional relationship. If this guy keeps on joining and leaving, when will people draw the line and say, nope, you're a great player, but this team-switching business is an issue. It doesn't help his chances with joining a Kespa team, either.

he obviously has made up his mind very clearly; His dream is to join a KESPA team, until then he will stay in ROOT because he feels like he belongs in root, how is that not a made up mind?
This is why I really like ROOT as a team; it seems so friendly, players genuinely seem to be very close friends!

But what do I know, I'm just an outsider.
Since he joined Root the last time it was clear he'd only leave for the opportunity to join a Kespa team. It's really sad seeing how Major is getting so much flak just because of his past when currently he's just trying to achieve his lifelong dream of playing on a kespa team.
On December 22 2012 01:44 Destro wrote: can we just have a live report thread for major's team changes? getting a thread every time he changes teams is getting silly.
Ya because the best NA terran(and probably best NA player) making a change to his team(this time just from teamless back to root) totally isn't thread worthy, but all the other crap that gets posted in sc2 general is.

He's already the Stephano of Terran foreigner wise. Except maybe like Kas, Demuslim and ThorZaiN, I think he's the best foreign Terran for sure.

What a joke. the whole ROOT roster should quit and rejoin on a bi-weekly basis, just so ROOT-related threads can dominate the SC2 General section of TL.
I feel safe to say that we can assume these events have made a complete transfer over from bw to sc2, and every three months we'll all just know that major has left one team for another, thus relieving any person of the duty to inform us such events have actually happened.
Sorry MajOr, but i doubt you are what a Kespa team would look for in a foreigner player. Your reputation of hopping around is just going to work against you.
Just look at all the former BW pro's, who ever switches ? Heart and loyalty for a single team for decades, and you are not that type.
At this point MajOr is willing to do literally anything to be on the news and be noticed by the likes of TL and EG. Not only is this extremely unlikely, but other Kespa teams won't be signing foreign players soon, unless there's a huge change in Kespa policies. And even if they do so, there are dozens of players that are more skilled and accomplished than he is.
