How do you feel about pulling your team through with three kills?
As the team's captain, I was scheduled to be sent out. I only practiced PvT for Antiga Shipyard, PvP and PvZ for Entombed Valley, and only PvZ for Neo Caldeum. I was flustered because every match up came to be true but I am glad because I was able to win. I approached Antiga Shipyard with the mentality that I would win no matter what. For the rest of the maps, I decided to just stick to the basics.
Were you feeling any pressure behind the fact that FanTaSy already had two kills?
On Antiga Shipyard, I had not lost to a Terran once during practice. I was confident.
On Neo Caldeum, you won because you had an army with superior upgrades.
The build order I used today was the first time I had ever showed that strategy on Neo Caldeum. I think a lot of people are going to replicate my build from here on out. It's a strategy where I can comfortably play my game regardless of my opponent's army composition. It's a good map for Zergs but I think I was able to win because of my build order.
It seemed like you weren't nervous today.
In the past, if I took some ChungShimHwan before the match then I could go on to win seven games in a row. I stopped taking CSH for a while but I wanted to win today so I took it. I was nervous but my games went well.
What are you prepared to face this season?
If I get greedy, I tend to lose a lot. I told myself that to just comfortably prepare for the season ahead. I won't worry about winning or losing. But it's true that I still get nervous.
What is the reason that Team 8 is the top team?
If we were still playing BW then we probably wouldn't have made much results. But SC2 is different. Before the season began, I expected Cure to take down Flash and to take the most wins award. Cure reminds me of Sea from the past. For SC2, our players really do well. We are top in ladder as well. As long as every player can hone their skills individually, then I think we're going to do really well. I'm not worried about our team. I think we'll be able to make it to the semi finals. Everyone is so good that I almost feel insignificant.
How is the team's atmosphere?
MajOr has a really brisk attitude. I have a lot of fun with him. I'm not really good with English so if there's ever something that I don't know MajOr just tells me to "Google it." He tells me to go to Google and to frequently use Google Translate. After having many conversations with him, I was able to pick up a lot of new words. MajOr is a loud person but he is really sincere. While it's true that MajOr has the potential to win, he is still behind the team. In order for him to get sent out, he still needs more time.
This season's goals?
Last season, I think I grabbed eighth place with my twelve wins. I would like to make it in to top five for this season but it's true that things are a little shabby right now. I am working hard everyday like I always do. I'm not really putting any focus on record right now.
Anything else you would like to say?
When I transitioned to SC2, MC, MarineKing, JYP, and Revival taught me a lot of things. I also got to know Creator through MarineKing and Creator taught me a lot of things as well. I was planning on saying all this if we had beaten Samsung KHAN last season but unfortunately, I had to wait until today to get the chance to say all this. Lastly, I want to thank Ryul2 and check for helping me out a lot on Neo Caldeum.

People are speechless about Jaehoon getting 3 kills obv.

Hahaha, I'm picturing Major just telling everyone on the team "google it" the same way he would say "Bogus, man".
Slight correction, but Fantasy had 2 kills when they got matched up. T1 had three kills, though, if that's what it meant.

No way!! I dont post on TL much and constantly lurk, but your translation of interviews are a million percent appreciated! And aside from the LR threads, with the interviews being pretty much the only thing I read! I've been visiting TL for the past day now hoping that the T8 interview was done, as it's pretty massive that Jaehoon took down the best T1 players.
It seems so bizzare for JAEHOON to be doing well now (although it's really good to see him doing well); lets just see if he can have any consistency in SC2.
I guess at least he doesnt have to rely on any recalls for his PvTs :p

so does this mean that Major will play soon? :D

His comments about Major are amusing

Burrito man fighting!!!!!

Jaehoon destroying everyone's anti-teams. :D

go jaehoon!!!!!! my FPL hero! <3
|
what news is more hot then jaehoon destroying in proleague? and that he is almost insignificant compared to the rest of team 8?
team 8 is on fire right now, hope they will carry the momentum all the way to the finals

Does anyone know what ChungShimHwan is? Is it a drink of some sort?

Interviews are always important, no matter what sort of news is floating around. Thanks Seeker!

Fantasy 2 kill, Jaehoon 3 kill.
Not sure if to be happy, or super, super bewildered.

I thought Rain is much more unstoppable, but this is what, like the 2nd time someone who isn't famous to beat him?

Well, I for one don't care about any of that stuff, I mostly just read the interviews you translate ^^
Following Proleague already takes so much time that I don't really have a hunger for anything else. Maybe I'll check out the GSL groups when they come and catch a match or two if they interest me, but that's about it.
Also wooo go Jaehoon! It makes me a little bit less sad that KT lost to team 8 when SKT loses to them too, hah

i bet jaehoon will be happy how recall work in hots xD, eventho ill miss his fail recall

MajOr has a really brisk attitude. If I may make a small correction, since the Korean word used here is 활발, a more accurate version would be: "Major has a really lively personality."

I think that you are starting to understand the difference between teamleagues and individual leagues. It seems strange to you that a no name beats him. Interestingly enough, there is a stark difference between preparing to play a player and playing a random player on ladder.
Imagine you have your build to metagame what a player scouts but the player you are playing doesn't scout and so the thing that you metagame is completely out the window.
Also, if you beat a player the first game and its a best of 5 the second game is cheese about half the time and the third game about 3/4 of the time if they beat them both games. Just an interesting notice that I see, don't have legit statistics on korean gamestyle vs foreigner. You'll notice that players like idra will lose to "Lesser" players cause he gets cheesed and so many people are like, I'm better than them. I thought they were so much more dominant. I hate the retarded esports community actually acting like they understand the mentality of the game more than high level players.

I think it's more about the fact that proleague interview draw less people. You should get some stats guy to find out what interviews / translations you made had the highest viewership. I would surely be intereseted in knowing. ( I personnally don't really care about proleague guys in comparaison to eSF players. )

( I personnally don't really care about proleague guys in comparaison to eSF players. ) Nah. I don't need a stats guy. It's a no brainer. I already know which interviews draw people and which don't
Basically, it's not Proleague vs eSF. It's fan favorites vs non-fan favorites. If I were to translate a 15 question interview after STX SouL Classic getting an all kill, I'd get maybe 1 - 2 pages worth of comments and maybe about 1500 views.
If I translated a 7 question interview on EG.Stephano[RC] grabbing an all kill, I'd get around 6 - 7 pages worth of comments and 5000+ views.
It's all about, who they interview. Also, depending on how often a thread gets bumped is also key. Because if a thread keeps getting bumped, it constantly remains at the top and new people who haven't seen it yet click on it. And the cycle continues.
