ROOT now has more Koreans than complexity the tables have turned.

Whaaaa that's sweet. Root is makin some moves.

Root just hit gold, Sage ftw! ROOT4ROOT

That roster is getting big O.o
Grats

Wow huge pick up for Root! Sage has always had potential but really fell off quicker then he could get started! Hopefully with Root he can reach his full potential and start smashin nerds! GL

Nice to see positive team news. Grats Sage!

Picking up them cheap koreans, good move.
Is Root playing in the GSTL?
YES!!! I tried to get him to join Quantic awhile back before Alt-Tab but unfortunately it didn't happen and things fell through. So happy he's finally on my team! :D <3
Im really interested to see how ROOT does once HoTS hits. Most of their roster seems to be practicing HoTS exclusively, and the team is built largely around creative players (even more so now with Sage and YugiOh). I predict they're going to have a very strong start to this year if they get the whole team working together on coming up with new builds.
wonder how root can get so many new players o.o anyways gogo sage!!!
I sense more Koreans in ROOT's future
ROOT will win proleague and gstl in hots. Game 7 Flash Vs. Catz and catz win! ITS HAPPENING PEOPLE! We're gonna take our esport jobs back from Korea!

Happy for Sage he was able to get on a team

Congrats to ROOT and Sage! Cool to see them picking up some Korean players.
I haven't really taken a serious interest in ROOT until now. Definitely one of my favorite Protoss players in SC2! ROOT4ROOT.
Would posting in a thread with sage bump it?
I dunno about this, Sage didn't perform well in things the entire time he was at MoW. He did alright by foreigner standards, but he was a Korean in a pro house in GSL. I'm skeptical about this pickup. I was really impressed by ROOT signing YugiOh, but hmm...
Awesome~! gogo root
Root is growing a garden.
Gratz to both Root and Sage! Hope to see him in more tournaments now
Yeeees! will he make a team house with the other korean(s)?
Damnit. I'm so excited for this! :D
PS: I love Sage's mouse accuracy!!!
Root is expanding quite a bit recently. Best luck to all of their players

ROOT.SAGE is so good sounding :D. Looks like ROOT is the new CoL .

Looks like ROOT is the new CoL . coL was mostly assembling washed up Korean players or ones who just happened to be available at the time they went on a signing spree, ROOT has Koreans who were never really considered among the best and gives them a chance to become popular and they seem to consider if a player fits the team before signing. That's very different to me.
I never really cared for ROOT because I'm not very interested in the NA scene but Sage has been a favourite of mine for a long time and Catz does make smart pickups and has an eye for talent, I've always respected him for that.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat????
That is pretty sick. ROOT is getting to have quite the team.
wow root looking pretty good now

Gratz to Sage! i wonder how root pays all their players. They have many players now.s

I could be wrong but I always assumed they make all their money from streaming. Anyways this is a nice, if not slightly random, pick up by root.
Awesome step for both ROOT and Sage!
Saw Sage at the Acer Challenge, seems like a cool, friendly guy (also good of course, since he won the whole thing IIRC). Glad to see ROOT getting even bigger, gl to Sage!
OMFG Paulo! Way to pick up some more great talent. ROOT!
damn! sage was the first toss to inspire me with his builds. both him and yugioh have had epic performances in gstl. im looking forward to root in hots 2013!

not really. id say both yugioh and sage are fan favorites and one of the few unaccomplished players with legit potential
So that's the second Korean!
Also wtf. Why is this guy called rootsage?
Holy crap CatZ. Pickin up dem koreans like a boss.
so many great pick ups lately for root! ROOT4ROOT!
Congratulations to him (:

Awesome news for both Root and Sage! 2013 is looking better and better for Root i can't wait to see them dominating more and more team leagues!

NICE. Root is becoming really strong!

I remember seeing some video or stream from the MoV somewhat recently and I remember thinking he seemed like a cool guy. Also it seems like he's pretty good, though I haven't seen all that many of his games. Great pickup for ROOT!!!

Somewhere, Artosis is squeeing with joy.

For people asking questions about how Catz is playing these players, team goals, etc. should check out the Reddit thread on Sage's acquisition. CatZ has been answering a lot of questions and providing some pretty interesting information.

Pretty impressive, ROOT. Good stuff!
Root seems do be doing a lot of expanding lately. They must be doing well.
Wow, go root, really developing that korean lineup. Hopefully they can grow even more so we can see some good things out of them!
what a nice pickup for ROOT o:
Root gaming going places man, CatZ is a smart guy
Wait what? I didn't think Root had the kind of monies to be picking up strong Koreans. I am pleased, but next make it a KR Terran.
<3 Sage
Damn, ROOT is getting stronger and stronger. Nice pickup, and good luck Sage!
Mhh. Sage and Yugioh are some of the more creative koreans. i wonder if they may have a window at the start of hots. There was a time where i thought Sage would become one of the top 5 tosses. I don't really know why he fell of so hard.
What!!!??
Sickest pickup. I'm psyched for whatever reason, lol, and not many announcements lately have been all that exciting for me. Keep it up CatZ.
impressive pickup by root, they're becoming quite the team. good luck to both!
Huh, didn't see that one coming at all. Great pickup nonetheless, Root. And best of luck to Sage!

I'm curious about this myself. Does Root have a major sponsor or something?

Oh and MVP also didnt renew their sponsorship with Hot6ix. Additionaly Axiom hasnt even gotten a teamhouse, after pretty much reforming team Slayers. Yeah Esf teams look pretty dead.

Still, there is a reason so much doom and gloom is going around the community don't you think? It's not like people feel the floor is falling out from under SC2 pro scene....for no reason at all. I also think if Azubu and IM didn't have such successful pro LoL teams in korea then they probably wouldn't still be raking in the sponors.

I don't know how to feel about Sage. He won the Acer StarCraft Challenge during his stay in Europe and got mixed results at DreamHack. I would rate him on a level with EU protoss like Harstem, NightEnD and BlinG.
Good luck to Sage, hope it works out for him.

The competition get tougher and the weaker teams will die. That's just a natural process.
Also Azubu dropped both Blaze and Frost.

Everyone knew some teams and players wouldn't be able to survive the entry of Kespa, but somehow everyone decided to ignore it and now people are freaking out. The weaker teams already died off and we still have 16 team competing in 2 Korean teamleagues. I'd say that's almost more than enough.

He was in a big slump before and after he left NSHoSeo, and if you read the interview he admits to that and names reasons, but in MoW he picked up his game, started to improve and win or place highly in tournaments. If he has newfound motivation he can only rise and a creative player like Sage should be able do quite well in the early stages of HotS.
I'm pretty certain he'll peak way higher than the players you listed if he keeps practicing like Koreans usually do.

about time root acquires a best player.
Sage is insanely good based on his stream, his micro and early game is rock solid, i remember games where he raped zergs with trollish builds in top gm! he is top tier even among koreans. his pvp is still lacking though. hopefully Root will send him to tournaments and he can get some exposure, he's probably the best player who never does tournaments atm...
