Regardless, I have never been so stoked for a GSTL event. For over a year now, I've been really wanting to see them play. Pretty awesome they are getting their chance finally, and what better than a face-off? w00t ^__^ well, now that i have found out she wins ladder games....against Vines of all people....i will ignore the fact that they both have done nothing of note in their entire sc2 careers. its a joke, pr stunt.

You're probably going to be seeing a lot of B teamers. except for Prime who is starting Marineking for some reason Its to send a message. "Yes it is pre season and we are only sending our B teamers. Here is MKP. You know what that means? Our B team can solo your A team"

They may not be GSL level players but they obviously train and deserve to play once in a while imo.

It will be interesting to see how good Aphrodite is compared to male pros. Who knows, maybe she can become the tossgirl of sc2.

Heart of the Swarm debut with two girls? It's a fun preseason tournament with players getting used to Heart of the Swarm. It'll probably have a lot of introduction to the game, units, and prepare people for the transition. Expect lots of one base games, funny matches and B-teamers getting booth experience. I'm fine with Aphrodite getting a game in the booth. She's been with Startale for over a year now, and she is pretty damn good. She probably couldn't beat any of the Korean players, but she played Stork in a qualifying match sometime back and didn't look too bad. If Eve isn't a lot better Protoss than she is Terran, Aphrodite should roll.

Hopefully the games are interesting despite the consensus that the match is one-sided.

Eve and Aphrodite are legitimately SC2 pros, whether you want to accept that or not. Neither of them have a single game in the booth, so their booth experience is nothing. This is the preseason. The time when you get your players warming up to get ready to give it their all in the season. Ever watch the preseason of any pro sport? You have really silly games, and really big blowouts occur for stupid reasons. This is a good move to give Eve, who stated that she wants to compete at a fully professional level, and not act as a PR representative, as well as Aphrodite, who is the #1 female player behind Scarlett who has never been in a GSL booth. Although this won't be top GM play (KR server GM...), this will be fun to watch for several reasons. 1) We get to see how far along these players are since the last time we saw them. 2) We get to watch some unique games. Don't forget this isn't just female vs female. This also means female vs male in the second game. This allows for a potential HUGE upset. All these little factors are included rather than just looking at it as a PR move. Let's support eSports and all watch the games and give our civilized feedback ^_^ On February 14 2013 17:50 dAPhREAk wrote: well, now that i have found out she wins ladder games....against Vines of all people....i will ignore the fact that they both have done nothing of note in their entire sc2 careers. its a joke, pr stunt. Come on, it's a show match. There's no need to get all serious. It's a good PR idea, I might tune in and watch, even though I haven't watched GSTL for a while now.
