Eg is a buisness. they need to make money and there's no reason keepping players that don't add to their marketing value when they don't participate in team leagues to need them. I'm a little surprised by Alive since he was actually still really good but since he wasn't winning tournaments and isn't a big name I see why they dropped him. good move for EG the brand not a great move for EG as a professional Starcraft teamm.

Azubu is no longer called Azubu, they are called Zombie-TSL 4th. Zombie-TSL picks up aLive and Revival for obvious reasons. 5th. Oz gets a personal sponsorship from the up and coming company in gaming everybody is raving about "Thewizardof" You guys can all kiss my ring when this happens Don't forget when Puma comes out of retirement to join Zombie-TSL

Anyway, hope to see them do well in the future anyway! I've always particularly liked watching Oz play, especially when he broke into the scene with FXO.

Also Jaedong, totally EG, for whatever reason. Maybe it's the interactions, or maybe the victories. You almost always see TLO cheering with his teammates when they win and Incontrol never stops talking about Jaedong so you just get that sense of team/family with them, but it just wasn't the case with these 3 (from my perspective, though I didn't watch a whole lot of Proleague). Anyway, hope to see them do well in the future anyway! I've always particularly liked watching Oz play, especially when he broke into the scene with FXO. You do kinda get the impression that they cared way more for him than the others. Considering barring WCS tourneys, aLive only got to go 1 foreign tournament, Oz only got to go to 3 and Revival got to go to 2 and only went to IEM New York because ForGG dropped out. So yeah on the giving opportunities front they definitely gave JD more by a long long way.

Supposedly, Velocity is just branded as EG, and not actually owned by the same people. But that's probably just their front to get around the same organization can't own two teams rule.

If you have a superiority complex and you want to constantly prove people on the internet wrong or want to correct them etc, it's easy to get baited by trolls. However, if you look in the perspective of a troll trying to annoy people, youll usually be able to see through the posts. On Topic, I agree that those guys never felt like "EG" -- just hired assassins by EG/TL during the merger thing for progleague. Usually EG promotes their players really well so you have an idea that they're part of the team or integrated somehow. EG has Machine and TL has Zenio -- you dont hear from them much, but they're still on the team.

Still, EG gave these players so many opportunities that it would be foolish to see EG as a bad guy in this situation. Revival and Oz got the best results of their career due to the opportunities from EG, and aLive enjoyed the most success he's ever had since early 2012, when he won IPL 4.

No disrespect or anything, but you're acting like EG was doing charity work by picking up these guys. They're good players. They came in as proleague support and proved themselves worthy of being on the team. Plus, it seems like their EG contracts were far from lucrative.

I don't think it was charity work, but it wasn't exploitation either. It was just business as usual, and I'm just trying to address another user's sentiment that these players got screwed over by EG. Nope, it's just business. Handshakes and ideally mutual benefit.
