Not sure if threadworthy as both have nothng to do with SC2 anymore but I figured that they are both ex-players ex- team owners so they have at least a bit of relevancy still (and there is that Genius Season 2 thread as well)
Good to know even if you're super wealthy, "living in a teamhouse" means that you can't even have a wedding. I love how the OP just mentions that like it's perfectly logical.
The photo doesn't look airbrushed, it just has some sort of smoothing filter applied to it. Airbrushing is typically done with at least SOME discretion.

That was likely from the article and not the actual user perspective. And to be fair, that statement holds some merit. Much harder to have a wedding while being in a team house. I'm sure it's possible, but maybe not what they'd be envisioning etc.
You know? Coming home after the wedding to make love in a team house where on the other bunk beds are your other players, you know, haha. Circumventable, but definitely much more hassle.

So Zealously is right, it is MMA's fault we don't have a True Son of BoxeR yet
Anything with Boxer in it is realevant. They look great together. May the Emperor live and reign for ten thousand years, ten thousand years, ten thousand of ten thousand years ♥

Can't speak for Korea, but in a lot of Asian culture it's still customary that the family home means the whole family. Anything that would be awkward in a team house would be just as awkward (if not more-so) in a home where you parents and siblings are around.
Of course, people of Boxer and Jessica's celebrity probably own their own place, but...

Not if Jessica has anything to do with raising it :p
jessica has a daughter that is already a university student. so boxer ia a step dad. also its hard but not impossible to get kids with 42 (especially jessica has the funds shr may consider invitro fertilization

isnt accusing jessica of bad parentship a bit harsh? her daughter seems fine.
Are they rich? My impression is that they live better than most Koreans and they're minor celebrities, but I'm not sure we can assume they would be wealthy like you could say about, say, Tom Brady and Gisele in the US.
But you know Boxer is dedicated to esports when he passes on a wedding because he can't work it into his practice schedule.

dude if Boxer was ever about to lose his house or couldn't pay his bills, I would fucking fly to Korea and put the money in his beautiful, bonjwa hands myself.

Jessica being self-destructive for team SlayerS doesn't preclude her from being a good parent, especially when it's her actual kids--not that the SlayerS downfall didn't raise a few concerns.

Yay! Congrats Emperor!
Huh wasn't this well known? Didn't they get married right around the time the match fixing scandal was at it's peak and some thought that it was an effort to bring some positivity into the scene when everything seemed really bleak?
Okay... I can tell that his wife is not 20, but... 42?? What sorcery is this??
The world record in age of giving birth is currently 66, so it shouldn't be impossible for them to have a child. However, as they tell, being 30 is already kind of the last hurrah for the ovaries, so some Terran technology might be required to do this.

Boxer earned 3,5 million dollars during his career.

I guess their budget wouldn't be able to stretch for a hotel for a night either! Which is the traditional way to avoid those issues on your wedding night.

It's certainly weird that they havent had kid yet. Isnt Jessica pretty old already?
41 or 42 this year I think, so it might be too late T_T
Wait WHAT ? She's 40 years old ? Damn those asian they really don't age. And from what i gather from the thread she has a daughter old enough that Boxer could not be the real father of her ? (meaning he would not be old enough to say : "Hey i could be your father").
Well i hope they do make a little Boxer or a ... RanGirl ! (since we didn't had that)

What's more telling is the news being released only now, as compared to then. Decency, fear of the toxic part of the fans or something else?
No... it looks like airbrushing. Very amateur-level airbrushing.

Well after all that has been disclosed alicia, mma and crank concerns of bad parenting should be raised against the respective parents rather than jessica.
It amazes me how people still blame jessica in the foreign scene when its pretty much consensus in the korean scene (who had more direct access to information) that especially crank was the problem

Jessica is heiress to a construction firm in korea (aside of jessica and boxer both being celebrities)

Im sure her parenting is just fine, but her ability to manage players has proven to be shit. :p

Yep, though the TL:DR is that Jessica is liked a lot in the korean scene, way more then Crank/MMA anyways, so they took her side in all the slayers drama while everyone else was like "damn Jessica you are fucking crazy."
That airbrushing is a simple smartphone app feature. If you have LINE app you can doit yourself to hide blemishes and other things, it's pretty excessive tho.

TBH while the korean scene may prefer Jessica and Boxer over some random bw b-teamers turned decent sc2 players, the foreign scene heavily favors Crank/MMA etc. as TB stepped in and created Axiom for them etc. I'd say that we should just be grateful for the many months we got to watch the Emperor and his sons display amazing Terran play and be sad that it had to end eventually.

Boxer earned 3,5 million dollars during his career.
Not to mention his celebrity status, being a forefather of an industry, which has allowed him to collect more than just winnings and salaries.

Yeah they said at the time it was just a magazine shoot but...mind games...they might be the actual photos now?
During the whole Slayers drama, didn't it come out that Boxer didn't actually spend that much time at the teamhouse? Or am I thinking of something else?

I also recall hearing that he wasn't spending as much time or maybe it was that he was spending more time in the office and less with the players?

Korean culture is a very different culture. It is very obsessed with seniority and celebrity. Just because they came to a consensus does not mean that's an opinion I have to share or accept as correct.

Almost everywhere is obsessed with celebrity lol. Just look at this forum alone for for topics about famous players/casters. Nada's body thread is the first thing i can think of as example.
