Did you miss the last ATC where Acer and Axiom separately slapped down TL? But it wouldn't surprise me if team Taeja/Hero/mustache guy does their thing.

Can't hear you over the sound of Impact all-killing them

Yeah, ATC Season 3.
I never thought (before Season 1) that the ATC grow up so sick.

TL will be an interesting force with Taeja, Hero, and now an in-form TLO, Snute, and Bunny backing them up.

And MaNa. A MaNa in form is quite good.

add 2v2 and let someone make funky maps with bridges and lava for it.

The only change I would like to see is the league using proleague format, bo5 (better for most teams) or 7 (better to me )

They ate bad food, were jetlagged, JYP touched them, had latency issues, IEM's computers are terrible, the observers were lagging etc.

I LOVE ATC
It's like a mini-proleague in the non-korean scene.. Won't say foreigner, but a non-Korean scene.. It's very well organized, has good games, good game insight, good commentary, and yet - has the very high competition in it as well
I'd however say my point of view (a bit)
--> Having mercs is not bad.. The problem is that once mercs get into this, they can play a lot of games, and a lot of deciders.. So a little bit more restriction in terms of how mercs could be used aren't bad IMO, or at least far better than removing the merc possibility completely.. Speaking of which - perhaps even legit 24hr team member that haven't been on the team for like 2 months at least should be considered as a merc too.. In a way.. ofc. - considering that there would be quite a few ATCs per year and not just one.. or two..
Like - IMO that's how it was SUPPOSED TO be.. But really aware that the truth is far from that point and the odds of a team surviving long enough to have enough roster members and/or variety is relatively slim.. Especially in a team-league where most (if not all, correct me if I'm wrong) the matches are in fact a bo9.. But yah - like - at least have 4 of your own players and get one merc, should be able to do it.. Ofc - still think that mercs shouldn't be revived for the ace matches unless being unused before though
Looking forward for the event though regardless.. Always a lot of fun watching these

Huh? What are you on about?
Ok so here's how much it cost us for ATC Season 2. About $7000 to fly 5 players to Krefield and back, plus food money plus one extra hotel room. ATC generously compensated $3500 for travel costs, leaving us with a $3500 expense. Since we don't take players prizemoney, at that point it becomes a case of trying to give our players opportunities and our sponsors the necessary exposure. The ATC Season 2 finals didn't get particularly high viewers, but our players won a good amount of money from it and played well, so I was happy with the result.
For ATC 3 we're gonna have to look at our travel budget. Flight costs can vary wildly and it's hard to book well in advance unless we stomp the early stages of the league so hard that we can't be dislodged from a play-off spot. There's a reason why there aren't many international teamleagues with live finals, it costs far too much to fly a team across the planet. That's why the loss of GSTL is such a huge blow.

first of: Fucking awesome, ATC is my favorite team cup in SCII (even with Proleague being sooo good nowadays), so can't wait for it to begin! Also really cool that the mercenary rule is out (is the revive rule also out?)
but it saddens me so much that only 2 teams goes to the offline event stupid fucking travel expensives, why can't airline just give sc2 players a sponsored free ride!

The way I see team events working in future is the way SC2L did it. Do everything offline except the finals and get the players to another live event and do the finals there. It's more efficient, the players get more exposure, can play in the other tournament too, you can share the costs, everyone wins.

After actually reading the announcement, I think TaKe should try to get someone to proof-read his stuff. Its kinda funny and sad that you can instantly tell it was written by a German.
Pretty excited to see the teams in the qualifiers, hoping for teams like YoeFW, or maybe Clan Who? from the Shoutcraft thing
