I doubt that there will be a GSL in a few years. I really don't want to derail this thread but Blizzard should focus less on esports and make a fun game instead.
Anyway, good job Reynor! I hope that you can make some pocket money through SC2

Haha so many jealous "adults" in this thread :D

Oh god, I've been playing since the start of all starcraft, and I'm still platinum. Way to get people depressed with posts like these T.T
J/K Good job kiddo

The guy is an absolute monster, he improved really quickly and still has a lot of hidden potential. I remember the transition from beating him pretty often to having a hard time at finishing games, and eventually losing tournament matches to him, one after another (even though I'm not a pro by any means, I was still impressed). His macro is on point and his trade-mark aggressive style is improving day by day.
Congratulations!!

And alot of the barcodes have more. 7000k is not that much if you get together all the games proplayers have played over all their accounts.
Also, gz Reynor :D

They should make SC2 fun. Maybe it's because I'm just a filthy mid master casual player and not a GSL Champion but the game has hardly any fun units for me. As a terran myself I don't understand why Protoss gets all the hate, sure toss was a bit over the top in korea but as a protoss you can actually vary your startegy quite heavily (They have way more viable defensive and offensive startegies than the other two races and that's NOT a bad thing. Zerg and especially Terran shouldn't be stuck with the same boring openings and units they have used for years).
A terran player gets called "creative" if he builds an ebay 1 minute earlier than usual. Much mechanics. So strategy. wow.

gratz reynor, im happy for the kid getting grandmaster is a decent accomplishment in sc2, not saying its the best thing but none the less its better then staying in masters, and if he enjoys the game why does it matter if hes got over 7k games if hes still in school and stuff its fine (coming from a person who played a ton of games when i was younger too). PS being in a house with stardust and jakji must be nuts

Most pros practice min 8 hours a day. You can name the successful pros who don't practice much on 1 hand. That's not a lot of games at all.

And it's PEGI16+ in Europe ^^

The kid is on vacation at mYi gaming house, and I've never seen him online past midnight during school period. Let him enjoy this great opportunity, he's just having fun; and playing and having fun is the point of being a child, so I really don't know what's your point. Basically he spends his spare time on Starcraft instead of Farmville...
edit. PEGI is not legally enforced in Italy

PEGI doesn't matter if your parents allow you to play. His parents are very involved; there's no problem here. Go back to your caves and find something else to be outraged about.

And please don't be so butthurt because people don't have the same opinion as yours, thank you. I'm not jealous about his feat, that's quite cool. We were just a bit shocked about his sleeping behaviour and we have all the right to do so.

You've obsessively posted here in this thread more times than anybody else. I am a bit shocked by your behaviour and we have all the right to do so.

lol . First of all, in Korea, no question they practice more than that. Second, which pros? Third, 8 hours isn't much at all. A lot of time is wasted between games. Depending on the player, that might be only 20 games.

I please you to read back all my posts. The first one was a gratz, the 2nd was saying that reaching GM is quite a feat, the 3rd was saying he did more than 2 or 3 all nighters, and the rest was defending myself from some dickhead who started insulting me and my country for no reason. SO yeah, generalization much. But be shocked about people posting on a forum if you want, but you should look for another hobbit. Anyway, we should stop right now since it's not the subject. Once again, congratz to Reynor and I hope I'll see him in some event (even though i'm not sure if he will be allowed to play a lot of them).
