I don't know much about the team, but I'm glad Gumiho at least has a home now, and I hope he starts performing well in the future, he's my favorite terran.

Well yeah. I don't think anyone should be surprised by greek and russian people loving a french team
This is getting dodgier and dodgier. Seriously Invasion, it's clear that you're either a big deal or bluffing. So why not just announce who you are and what your financial backing is?
Otherwise people are quite fairly just going to think this is another LYGF.
Hey guys! this is Based_Bali, I am the manager of GuMiho, I am taking care personally of him and he sign a good contract wich gives him what he wants, the team is trusted as far as I know, they were so nice with me and the other guys so at the moment there is nothing to worry, they will made a statement soon, also they will update a new webpage as soon is done, you willl see how Invasion eSport will not do anything bad to the guys and we will see them on tournaments.

and the fact that they bought rt/fav and one of their player maphacks is a sure sign they're legit? you don't know very far it seems.
Um to be fair none of those things mean they're NOT legit either. What matters for being legit is do they actually live up to their promises, and if GuMiho (and presumably Super and others) got a contract they like and the team lives up to it that's all legit means.

Well, We are trying to fix the followers/likes thing, they told mme they didn't buy it and someone do, sent an email to facebook and twitter but didn't get a replay yet :/
About the maphacking thing, they are aware of it and will take care as soon as possible

Invasion refuses to speak with French writers, they don't announce their players and the website is horrible, yeah of course it's a scam. The cofounder of Invasion is playing for the main team and he played against gold when he was doing amateur teamleague...

I mean I would post that Karl Pilkington 'Bullshit' thing but it would break the rules so I won't.
But yeah, that is a load of rubbish. It's pretty clear that Invasion eSports are an extremely dodgy organisation.

Add to that that we don't even know their sponsor(s), if they even have one. Even if it's a man and not a company, teams who want to not look shady say who it is. Right now I think we should make bets on how Invasion will disappear (severely ill manager? sponsor lost his money because of random reason?)

You mean the logo that isn't even on the front page of their website? d:
Invasion is growing into quite a team. Whether they are legit and last a while is questionable.

2 years? They will be lucky to last that long.
Regardless, I hold no ill will to Invasion and definitely to GuMiho.
Good luck to both of you, particularly to GuMiho!
edit: I'm surprised this isn't in the Community News section. All the other "Invasion signs X" threads are there.

Is this confirmed or you want to do that but don't know if you actually will? If you'd manage to get the name of their sponsor (if it even exists) that would be pretty interesting

Yeah that would be great we all dont want Drama ! But maybe they have some private investor.

I think their supposed sponsor is supposed to be a private investor, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't know at least his name. If you look at Team Spectre, which just recently returned, they are funded by a private investor but we know who he is and what he does

Its sad that esports has been screwed over by dickweed con artists so much that whenever a new brand/team/company emerges everyones first thought is "Are they legit." into a million questions about proof e.g. money.

We only need to schedule the interview.
Meaning no interview.
Well, if Invasion does not want to do an interview for the second time in a row that means that it's not a really legit team.

Well, in the past teams that have come out of nowhere signing really good Koreans that have no sponsors or any clear business plan have historically not done very well.
Until they can be open and accessible to the community, and prove they know what they're doing, it shouldn't surprise anyone that there will be people skeptical of their motives.
A detailed interview from Aeromi would be a good start for them, although that should have been done a while back. And if they have invested so much in their sc2 squad, they should put some effort towards their PR and social media. Their website is poorly put together, doesn't have an option for english, and doesn't even have any of these high level Koreans on their websites team section. That should have been done before the huge roster was announced. The fake twitter followers don't help their cause either, regardless of where those came from. These things don't give me a ton of confidence in their business team and professionalism.
I'd like to see them succeed since they have a great roster, but it's on them to give the community a positive impression. I hope they can prove me wrong in the upcoming weeks.

No idea why they didn't use him much. They should have at least put him in place of effort when they were up against protoss. 3-1 including a win over zest is much better than 0-6.
I'm pretty worried about this team a well, doesn't sound very plausable. I would like to know the cause behind all these players being picked up. Are they planning on playing in a teamleague? If not its just weird picking up tons of "random koreans", I mean if they were truely a strong movement that just loves SC2 and wants a strong team why are they not visible here or on reddit?
Without a purpose and a seemingly not very deep passion for the game this looks worrying.

On the bright side. If they have money to buy followers, they will probably pay their staff and players for now.

Is this the same team, which was founded by an investor/ a company "to avoid taxes"? I remember reading sth like that not too long ago. And being "super nice" to players doesn't really mean shit. I can be super nice and still scam the shit out of people.
On November 12 2014 05:11 TRaFFiC wrote: Fraud implies making money. How does running a failed team make you money?
I do find it sad that a player of Gumi's caliber can't find a more established team. Gl to him.
When since does the meaning of fraud involve making money at all. Fraud can be done for many reasons, and it doesn't have to be a successful attempt in order to be fraud.
Aeromi, please ask them how their sponsor blindly give them money (considering their website being unprofessional, fake rt and follow so no audience overall) and what is their project to make this successful in the long term. I'm pretty sure they will bullshit you after this question.

I may be too late, but basically who is their sponsor and what is their business plan. Also the bought followers thing. And what is their interest in picking up many average Koreans instead of one or two (very) strong ones like mYi did at first.
Invasion living to it's name.. No one knows a thing about it, but seems like it's getting more and more footage, and yet not a single person knows about what they're doing
Well - we'll see the Invasion happen one way or another I guess.. :\
I think a big problem with Korean players is they don't have a lot of options imo. Like there's quite a lot of teamless Koreans but only so few spots on well established teams.
