Blizzard, are the rules on sportsmanship not included? Why include them if you don't enforce them? I just hate inconsistencies and hypocrisy. Either don't pretend to be official or do your job properly. Naniwa was well within his right to complain about the stream delay. He was unsporstmanlike about it but these situations are completely different. He didn´t even get punished when he said "lol joke tournament" on a big screen in front of a huge MLG audience, which he should have gotten for. It was even captured on stream at that time. So I think IAMPRO is right here, there is a lot of inconistence going on.
MLG isn't WCS.. they're two different organizations. Also if we were to dig up instances where someone says something unsportsmanlike outside of strictly WCS tournaments (ie. twitter, facebook, bnet chat, forums, etc), there would be so many violations there wouldnt be many people left to fill the tournament.
True Naniwa is an example where he has MORE of these instances, but if you're calling for universal consistency then people like Firecake, Miniraser, and many more should also be banned

Lille got a bunch of new followers and subs, even troll subs, yesterday. I think even if he got banned for the season, this run was definitely worth it for him.

jeysen banned for trolling and GunGFuBanda to be disappointed after a match. LOL
As usual, Blizzard is completely fucked up.
At least, we could think about this international firm giving justice without trying to listen the supposed guilty people. There is completely the opposite of any respect to Human Rights or liberty of speech.

Blizzard, are the rules on sportsmanship not included? Why include them if you don't enforce them? I just hate inconsistencies and hypocrisy. Either don't pretend to be official or do your job properly. Did you even read the bottom paragraph? "YOU DIDN'T BAN THE PLAYER I HATE FOR MADE-UP REASONS! YOU'RE NOT DOING YOUR JOB!!!!!" What the fuck are you talking about? The reasons are not made up, they were on stream. I haven't made anything up at all. I just thought calling your opponent a cheat with no proof, not gging, holding up a stream for 20 mins when your opponent is very tired due to a different timezone so that you can continue the abuse and then continuing to publicly call your opponent a cheat was bad sportsmanship. Did you actually watch the stream? ~95% of people in the LR thread agreed action should've been taken so until you actually know what I'm talking about STFU.
To those saying Naniwa was right to complain: when you accuse someone of cheating you hold the burden of proof. A stream with little delay does not prove or even indicate he cheated. It would be totally out of character and not even worthwhile for Happy.
I have a genuine question for those in charge of this farcical rule enforcement: what constitutes bad sportsmanship if Naniwa's actions do not? I am genuinely curious how unprofessional and abusive you can be without facing any discipline.

Are you actually a retard? They signed up for a tournament and then broke the rules of the tournament they were obliged to abide by. Blizzard is not an oppressive, ineluctable state you are forced to live in - it's a fucking tournament. Stop trivalising important values and concepts because your friend broke the rules.

Please. You enter a tournament, you respect the organizer's rules. Simple as that. Nothing to do with Human Rights or freedom of speech there.

He didn't agree to anything, and his 1k offer seems like trolling to me I agree. Jeysen should just get a warning for joking about $1k, imo. GungfuBanda was serious, on the other hand. This is not a matter of opinion. He made a counter offer to throw a game for money. Both bans (Gungfu and jeysen) are completely justified.

so curious how many games Naniwa can survive without getting dqed .

This is really so sad
Disqualifying Lillekanin for a little joke, which wasnt any offense at all! The Jihad is religious war, and however in all religious wars have been terrorist actings!!!
But still if you disqualify Lillekanin for this WHY DIDNT YOU DISQUALIFY NANIWA FOR CALLING "FUCKING RUSSIANS" WHEN HE CALLED HAPPY A MAPHACKER?!?!?
you make no sense, so poor omg, this is so poor

I feel so so sad for Jeysen. Please let him survive with only a warning???

Its not really something that matters when Lillekanin gets info from twitch chat 3 hours into the game in a stalemate situation where they both knows whats going on except for the mineral and gas bank.
You'd really rather watch 3+ hour raven turtlesnoozefest games?!

The social media/ stream checking would have disqualified him with or without the joke, and I personally think if he'd only made the joke they wouldn't have batted an eyelash. People (including Naniwa) get away with saying some pretty offensive shit on a regular basis and only seem to get disciplined if it causes a stink in the community or with sponsors.
That being said, making jihad jokes in a public, professional setting is a bad idea. It effects the image of your game and the developer, and you're probably going to get some backlash. If players can't exercise good judgement it pushes things towards a kespa-like tyranny where you can't talk at all in sanctioned matches, which isn't what we want.

It's baffling how many people seem to think that "lolz i was just trolling xD" is a reasonable defense for doing dumb shit
