Re-rendition
Q: You are the last player to get into Ro8 A: I have too full a schedule! From IEM to the nomination, I didn't even have enough time to practise! I was very worried. It is very good to advance after all.
Q: How did you think the group before it? A: I thought I could be the First Place. But my hands did not warm up in the first game. And the reaper skirmish loss devastated me further. (laughs) And I could not recover. Then I went down to the losers' match.
Q: We saw Banshee in all matches after that. A: I could not get practice before hand. So I tried something stable.
Q: You're facing Leenock next. A: TvZ is not something worries me (laughs). Rogue as a team-mate would be troublesome for me.
Q: Let's talk about IEM, while did you lose in the end? A: My wrist was hurting and I did not have a wrister. Because of that I could not use the strategies I had prepared. In general I was very much on the passive and defensive.
Q: How did you feel when dropped into the lower bracket? A: Well, I just regained confidence after beating TY.
Q: You are very much in form recently. A: My capabilities also brings pressure. But I've regained the confidence. I am very happy to have performed very well. And my team-mates are very trustworthy, which makes me more relaxed and easy.
Q: Last words? A: I thank the assistant coach and the Head Coach who came here, as well as fans who prayed my win.

Thanks for the translations, but you should really compile them all in a unique thread

If he gets carpal tunnel Im gonna kill someone.
|
He's getting starcraft wrists already. Fuck.
|
We pray for them wins alright!
|
Of course he's getting Starcraft wrists. He's been playing since 2010. There's a reason he's only played outside of Korea a grand total of 4 times.
|
Thread title is pretty misleading. "My wrist hurt at this particular event" is not the same thing as "injured."
|
Oh yeah! Maru taking the wins, I hope he can continue to dominate!

Yup, even a machine like Innovation I bet probably has strained wrists. After all, Flash got surgery on his some years back, and I figure they're not in great shape for him these days either.

Cybernetic wrists for terrans, T-virus for zergs, and stalker eyedrops for protoss.

Well, the kid has been doing this non stop since 13 years old. His wirsts grew while he was doing thnis shit, it's probably gonna be a very severe carpal tunnel.

He isn't worried for Leenock(and Z in general) but Rogue is troublesome? I am not sure if I've missed something, but Leenock is doing a lot better than Rogue judging by games played in past months.

Rogue's on Maru's team. He's obliged to say something like that

I'm surprised. He was saying the exact opposite all throughout NSSL group selection, going so far as to say he was considering picking Rogue because that would be a good way of getting into ro8. He might have been joking, but the translators certainly didn't convey that if he was.

But I don't think Koreans ever say that and mean it. So I assumed he was just joking about it and it was a communication error that it didn't get translated over.

I dont understand how these dudes don't have wrist problems in two freaking weeks playing 8+ hours a day.

Rogue is the best Z in Korea ladder according to many players. He has been outstanding in practice matches for some time, but suffers from real game jitters. He is no doubt in the top 3 Zerg right now.

There's also comments in the same thread of people enjoying the chairs.
I don't think he's in those esports chairs all the time, if they were so bad he'd get a different chair for when he was training.

In the previous GSL season 3 2014 placement, Maru was also half jockingly wanted to pick sOs and True. I noted he did it in this season too, wanted to pick Rogue. After Rogue qualified in ro32 he mentioned in the interview that Maru doesn't really loose in team house practice.
I think Maru may have a high winning rate in team house practice. That's why he always jokingly wanted to pick his teammates. Though the coach would of course prevent the idea of team picking.
Another interesting stuff is sOs mentioned he has a low winning rate in team house practice when he won the last Kespa cup.

There was a Reddit post on how these eSports chairs like Need for Seat are awful and in no way worth the $300 or whatever they charge. Even a $100 chair is better. A chair that can go up and down means that you can sit properly. Whether the chairs are worth $300 or not is completely irrelevant. If Maru has bad posture (dunno if he does) then he can only blame himself if he gets carpal tunnel. Wat. There is much more in a chair than just going up and down, or else we would all play on adjustable footstools (edit : don't get me wrong yes you can sit properly if the chair can go up and down, but when you practice more than 10 hours a day in the same posture it's not a matter of being able to sit properly, it's a matter of having a chair that helps you to acquire and keep the good posture, as well as being comfortable enough to avoid back pain). As for the posture/wrist problems thing, well it'll always surprise me how these seemingly rich KeSPA teams don't have medical doctors to help with that (or if they have they're not very efficient judging by the number of KeSPA players having wrist issues). I wonder how long the "practice 12h+ a day without thinking" mindset will last.

sOs losing to people who know his strategies isn't interesting at all but pretty obvious imo...

I've been sitting in $100 chairs all my life, until I got a Need for Seat one a couple of months ago. Lets just say that the difference is more than noticeable. Both in construction quality and in my back pain.

This isn't the first time I see this. sOs did not win KeSPA Cup. He won the Hot6ix Cup. Although you are correct in what he said in his interview about him saying he has a low winrate in the in-house practice.

Maru is such a boss, hope he wins Code S this season

"Low" for sos is probably meaning "only around 80%"
