Do not talk about MarineKing even if you are defending him. Just don't do it. Please no match-fixing accusations on MarineKing or any other player if it has not officially been confirmed.

Maybe life betted on others games and not himself? Or maybe he has a terrible gamble addiction and he needed that money because all of his money is already gone?
Unless you can verify something like that, I don't think posts like this are super useful to the discussion.
Yeah I think the second part doesn't help and is without any foundation.
But the part about him being a gambler, is quite well known I think?
I don't even know from where, but I know about it. I think it's been said multiple times that he loves to gamble. Probably just mentioned during casts by the commentators? Lots of them love to gamble too.
Doesn't have any connection to match-fixing though imo. I still hope he was underage back then and was forced to do it or something :/.
Definitely would have some what of a connection to match-fixing in Korea, seeing as some gambling is illegal in Korea if i remember correctly? If Life wanted to gamble, he would have got to know some dodgy people.

The point of time when you committed the crime is all that counts. No matter how old you are when you get charged, or are brought to trial
Edit: I actually only know about German law, but most law systems, especially in asia are modelled after the European continetal law system and copied France and Germany.
wasn't he 18 last year?
Yeah, is it known when he supposedly received money for match-fixing?
Also can somebody tell us if Korean age or the "normal/global" age counts in Korea for these things?
Basically, is Korean age the legal age in Korea? I feel embarassed asking this lol.
Wiki says that age of majority in Korea is 19 (idk about "global" or "asian" years). Life turned 19 about three weeks ago, so it seems likely to me that they arrested him now because of that.
Okay, so he was still a minor if he ever did something. Somebody said they watied for him to be an adult, so I guess that makes sense and they don't use Korea age here, since he would already be 20 then (Korean age: You are 1 year old when you are born and get 1 year older ever new year. So if you are born on new year's eve you are 2 years old after 2 days in Korea ).

Oh shit, completely forgot that gambling was illegal in Korea for a moment.

Maybe not measure the noose before the hammer's been dropped
Because making an official announcement that he's been arrested on charges of match-fixing, while specifically stating he received money to do so, basically means that they have really solid evidence along those lines.
This is a lot more serious than "We're looking into reports of match-fixing." It's a lot more like "We're arresting him because we've gathered enough evidence to make a good case for it."

Because no one's ever been falsely accused, or charges have never been dropped....
Until there's an actual conviction, or there's solid evidence provided to the public, everything said is blind speculation. Last I checked, that's not damning evidence, or does the term innocent until proven guilty not mean anything?
All we've heard is that he's been formally arrested. We don't even have specific charges yet. This is pointless
Before it was a rumor that he was being charged for match fixing, now it's confirmed what that charge is. But that doesn't mean that he's actually gone and done it yet.
Outlook not looking good, however. I want more details.
So this is the game that Korean scene's the most suspicious about.
Especially because on Korean version of the vod, casters said that something like this cannot happen, and Life smiled when he saw Solar's zerglings that he couldn't defend, and at 3:00, Life had a weird face for a moment when the overlord turns after him seeing the creep.

That far back? Wow.
I remember raging in the LR at how careless Life was that game too :/
