YFW are abandoning their SC2 team except Has. That is the reason Parting leaves YFW. YFW and ZOO teamed up together to attend the NSL (Chinese team league) this year. So we have Parting/Has/Toodming on the same team.
BTW The NSL is going to be interesting this year. The top four contender iG, Bheart, Xteam and Zoo-YFW all have some solid roster. IG: Jim/iAsonu/Xigua/Macsed Bheart: Cyan/Mytery Xteam: Byun/Ein/Time Zoo-YFW: Parting/Has/Toodming.

What format is NSL, all-kill?

That's fucking cool.

PartinG is such a boss. Signing only teams that make him happy and understand his need for freedom. Fighting! <3

Chinese visum, easy winning Shanghai WCS Event?

Would have been fun to see him on tl or eg but good luck to him all the same!

Is there any reason he don't want to go back to a Korean organization?

He doesn't like the KeSPA system and all Korean teams that exist right now are part of that system (also SKT owns his Proleague rights so he's not a very appealing player for the other teams either).

YFW leaving SC2? ... anyone did not see this coming? saw this coming when Leenok left...

So can I now count myself as a reliable source?

<3 Parting, wish him all the best and hope he does well this year. Seemed to take a down turn towards the end of Hots, hopefully he comes back to form! Absolutely love watching his games. Also, really sick of SK T1 holding onto players proleague rights, I mean c'mon SKT1... Been so dominate, just allow them to play! Esports careers don't last forever, shouldn't lock them out for the majority of it, if not all of it..

Never quite understood that. Did he break his contract midway with SKT? Everywhere they cite that he left SKT when his contract ended (expired), so it shouldn't be like that.
Since he's banned from proleague for the time being it seems like a pretty bad deal to come back to Korea anyway (both for him and the team).

It's odd that Zoo is his organization of choice. Haven't they had issues financially supporting their players in the past?

What is up with Korean players going to all of these booty teams with no real financial backing? Don't get it.

Zoo is not a rich team but I think they have overcome the financial problem now. So I think they are fine. Zoo also holds one of the best academy team in China. A lot of young players went to zoo last year and became noticed by the pro-scene.

Err, i might be wrong but i thought YFW was a Taiwan team, not a Chinese one

Parting said he wants to join X-team at first, but X-team's manager F91 and xiaose said they do not really want to sign him because X-team (with Byun) will be too strong compared to other Chinese team, so they refered Parting to Zoo in order to play the Chinese starcraft league. But Parting does not play very well recently because he still play old Hots style. He narrowly beat the caster xiaose, and had been crushed by xigua several times. However, it looks like he enjoys his steaming on douyu by defeating random gold and diamond players in China server, and watching other girl's steaming of other games.

The official name of Taiwan is "Republic of China". It was part of Chine since the 17th century being seperated from China under the rule of Japan from 1895 to 1945. Then it became part of "the Republic of China" again which became "People's Republic of China" in 1949 after the communist civil war. Since then Taiwan is the remaining piece of the "Republic of China" where government and army retreated to.
tl;dr: history-wise Taiwan is kind of China too.

Yea, Taiwan if part of China, and the mainland China is another part of China too, though they are currently controlled by two different governments which call themselves different names. Technically they are still in civil war state, because there's neither peace treaty nor cease fire between them.
Btw, it is just some historical fact, and I think TL is not a good place for politics. But in any case, Parting loves China and Chinese now. Though he does not play very well now, he still keeps his blink stalker micro. This year's China's team league should be interesting to watch.

I am not sure how I feel about this... This is not the parting that was in SKT1, not even the parting with YFW... This is the parting that streams League on Douyu trolling around. Hopefully he can get back on track and perform in Zoo, or I don't think Zoo is getting a good deal in this

Agreed. But I don't think Zoo would pay a considerable salary to PartinG, while Zoo could use PartinG's fame to attract more sponsors (hopefully), so this is a good deal to Zoo anyway.
I am a big fan of PartinG since his days as another random GSL qualifier player, but tbh I feel regret on today's PartinG, even though he never be so close to Chinese fans than today.
I hope he can take his motivation back after joining Zoo, but I doubt that. Zoo lacks ability to provide a good atmosphere for progamers to practice hard.

This has to be the longest staring contest ever.

I'm very happy for team ZoO, they had financial problems if I remember correctly, now they have PartinG!

Lol, bit of a "citation needed" on that article then. Guess we should wait for proof from player or team before quickly believing any announcements.
