Impact took a 1-0 lead after a ling drop/ravager push into ByuN's natural canceled stim and killed over 30 workers. ByuN stuck around, but down two bases, he died to a follow up attack.
ByuN bounced back on Whirlwind as he sent wave after wave of bio into Impact's fourth. Impact held for a time, but his ling/bane/hydra was eventually overrun by bio/mine/lib.
Impact’s economic greed went unpunished as he repelled ByuN’s aggression while harassing with zerglings and banelings. The first ling/bane/hydra attack killed 13 workers. The second killed 20. The third ended the game, putting Impact up 2-1.
ByuN's first real move in game four was a hellbat timing that killed eight drones. Impact survived, but was unable to stop ByuN from taking his fourth while containing him on three bases. Impact tried to break out, but failed, sending the match to a fifth game.
Impact scouted ByuN's hellbat push and, while he defended it successfully, he was unable to establish a fourth base as the game progressed. ByuN kept leaning on Impact, forcing a concession as he was poised to cancel Impact’s fourth for the umpteenth time.
Having defended a hellbat push and liberators, soO moved into ling/bane/muta, buying himself the time and space to reach ultralisks. jjakji battled from a disadvantage for a time, but eventually dropped the game.
soO scouted jjakji's banshees, but lost 12 workers to a marine drop and hellion runby. soO struggled to get a fourth base and was eventually run dry by jjakji's bio/tank force.
soO and jjakji made it to the late game on Whirlwind, but jjakji's constant pressure prevented soO from reaching hive tech which proved to be his unmaking as he was worn down by a steady stream of widow mines and thors.
soO inexplicably killed the third cc in jjakji's 3cc opening and rode that advantage up to 80 workers. Completely untouched, he won a big fight with ling/bane/muta, switched into ultra/corruptor and forced the rubber match.
Having surpassed 70 drones and reached the late game unimpeded, soO chipped away at jjakji, often trading unfavorably, but always building more ultralisks, hydralisks and vipers. The writing on the wall, jjakji finally conceded, preserving soO's pristine record in the second stage.
Bunny's frontal attack on Rogue's fifth was threatening, but Rogue's constant counterattacks robbed it of much of its thrust. Efficient viper usage and a swarm of ling/bane/hydra allowed him to clean Bunny and seize the advantage.
Bunny's proxy two rax failed to kill Rogue's natural, but it gave him a worker lead that facilitated a transition into a standard macro game. Rogue reached ultralisks, but was on three bases to Bunny’s four and was unable to hold against Bunny's bio.
Rogue's four queen drop delayed Bunny's mining, but did little else as the Terran reached a maxed out mech army. Rogue threw swarm hosts, hydralisks and banelings at him, but nothing fazed Bunny who marched to a 2-1 lead.
Rogue got up to three bases on Ascension to Aiur, but a marine/hellbat push wiped out his army at his third, while a smaller contingent bored out his main. Rogue tried to reinforce, but Bunny dived on his morphing banes to take the match.
