War Chest: Katowice 2018 will be available for purchase in all regions on December 8, 10:00 PST. Our second War Chest brings over 80 new cosmetics including skins, portraits, emoticons, and new this season, console skins. Upon purchase, players will be instantly granted the following: A unique worker skin. A unique console skin. A unique portrait. A 30-day Co-op Stim pack which grants 100% bonus experience. A free classic Hearthstone pack of cards. A Rare quality Loot Chest in Heroes of the Storm. Access to the 1v1 ladder if it’s not already available. The Shadow Wars series continues with 3 more chapters and double the pages. Additionally, the Tal’Darim Probe pet in Diablo III is still granted if a player has not purchased the first War Chest. Unit wire frames and production icons in the observer UI will now always use the default assets, regardless of what skin is equipped to help with readability in tournaments.
CO-OP
Stukov
Infested Siege Tanks On death, drops all of its ammo as Volatile Infested. These have timed life of 90 seconds. Han and Horner
Widow Mines Now benefits from Significant Other Buff, reducing the cooldown on its attack. Part and Parcel
The initial time before mission failure has been lowered. Each part collected now adds to the total time left. Dev comment: Previously, there was a flat timer for mission failure that adjusted based on which 'phase' of the map you were on. This clearly communicated that you had to complete the objective quickly to prevent mission failure, but it failed to communicate how much time was actually needed to complete the objective. Gathering a full quota of parts was hard to quantify in terms of time required and there were a number of unexpected mission failures by players who were actually comfortably ahead.
Now, the initial time you have before mission failure is lower, but every part you gather gives you time added to the clock. This directly links parts gathering to the mission timer, constantly rewarding you for gathering parts quickly and consistently. It should be noted that the actual amount of time you have to complete each objective is unchanged. Plus Editor & Bug Fixes which can be found here > StarCraft 2 4.1.0 Patch Notes

I have not seen confirmation anywhere at the moment, but i would assume exactly same pricing structure as the blizzcon one? Will be confirmed Friday i guess.
Unfortunately they made the console screens take up more space on the screen, so its a disadvantage to use them . Skins look cool though especially the Purifiers.
The UI at the bottom of the screen where you build everything, activate abilities and it shows unit or building stats that you've selected. The border around it changes unfortunately its a little bit bigger so you see less of the actual map on your screen.

This is the best one from the whole, if you ask me.

Wait? Then my opponent won't know at all that I have the skin? Then what's the point of purchasing that skin? I buy skins to show off and impress my opponent with how rich I am, it's incredibly stupid that I won't be able to do that with this skin. So stupid!

The obvious solution is that you should be able to change their console

Archon mode, one player controls the units, the other controls the changes of skins

Hope this isn't just a unit skin pack for it's own sake. Compendium without some sort of prize pool/scene support is unfathomable after Valve set the standard.

Exactly! I remember Rotti asking for this when casting WESG Europe a while back.
I think I like the terran skins. Wasn't a big fan of those before but that's just a look I enjoy. A mix between Mad Max and orcs.. Actually considering.

The thing is you do use the vast majority of the stuff. Most of it is just textures and assets which can show up on any map, and even for stuff like skins your installation has to be able to render them.
Hey guys. Do you think makes sense always appear the better ranking when starting a game, whatever the race we pick? Doesn't make more sense the players see the rank for THAT race? Just a thought...
Cool story... but can I still hand Blizzard my 25$ and when I don't have the time to grind all my games out in a couple months end up with the chest closing out and no chance to get the skins I paid for?
Cause if not... I just don't see the point.
I mean I'm still happy to this day that I can't grind out the games for the last war chest I bought. I only really wanted half the skins anyway... or I wanted to lose the chance to grind the xp for the skins I already paid for only to have them try to resell the skins to me a couple months later when they make them available to everyone.
Cause if they don't do that again... I just don't get it.

Idk, its literally called "War Chest: Katowice 2018" so you would think there is some contribution, but odd its not listed anywhere?. I don't expect like all the esports alloted money to go to the prizepool, but they need to show the community and playerbase that the money raised is going to somewhere they easily point to. Even if its something like better hotel rooms and airline seats, you know, SOMETHING I think.

lol its really not even that bad right now, plus its only been maybe a month, people are so ridiculously self righteous lol
When you've been playing the game throughout its whole lifespan it's only understandable (to me) that, at some point, you'd be getting fed up by constant balance changes to "shake up the meta". Having to partly relearn the game annually isn't exactly what I expected when I picked the game up.
Could as well say that way too many people have their heads up Blizzard's ass for hyping every half-assed portrait or skin they come up with...
Does anyone else wish that there was some way for the game to let you select multiple skins that you can randomize per match? Like if you owned the Taldarim Colossi from last WarChest, and you got the Purifier Colossi this WarChest, each game you play it would choose either one or the other. Seems like a waste that you have to choose between two super cool looking skins once a new skin comes out.
