It was more or less balanced for the majority of the time, with Special having 2 SCVs trapped from the start (3-5% less income!?). Then, expecting ultras and investing a lot into marauders on a good brood lord map is... well, let's just say it has to be looked at by someone wiser than I to get the finer nuances out, as it's really smart thinking ahead, if a mistake at that. Not winning that clearly tilted him, with a few slip-ups in game2 and underperforming in the last one. Reynor's style is really fresh and amazing to spectate, while likely sickening to play against!

I didn t see the games and i hope to see some other clever analyzes. Anyway i m tired to see how fast is the zerg race progression training compare to protoss and terran. It s the first year for Reynor to access to the high competitive tournament and he looks so easy to control his race without any stress or lack of confidence. 8 years passed and I m asking legitimacy if it exist a relation between the visibility of the creep tumours and the ease of Reynor (3-0) to defeat Special. It s a pain that Serral is his next opponent cause i won t be surprised if Reynor doesn t lose a game against any european terran.

Has secures top 8! Some months ago, i was looking to Clem doing a pretty good job, struggling against the developpement of creep tumours in the mid game building bunkers along the border of creep (... at the moment Innovation clean creep tumours in the end game with Nukes..). But even this fresh strategy, born from a new view of young newcomer can t work at the moment. Maybe you also have ever seen this strategy and you could talk a bit from your experience but my point of view is : "this proxy base can t handle against the zerg flow", even if marines can retreat deeper, every bunkers will be destroyed and the Terran have no other choice than a retreat to his main base, with a high risk to be rushed and lose the game. So as conclusion you can deny creep but the end game will arrive, and all you have done is : "slow the creep". It seems to hard to seetle in front of the creep and during 8 years, I didn t remember even in the Korean scene, one player able to stop creep. Some people wanna merge the two upgrades : "Neosteel Frame" and "Structure Armor" but i m not sure if it would be enought...., Bunkers are pointless after the mid game, when Zerg control all the map and doesn t care about his future earnings.. Here s a thread talking about this rework : https://us.battle.net/forums/en/sc2/topic/8769437781
