Pretty fun group to watch, bummed by Reynor's lost for sure. He was so close, feels like he was betrayed by tilting/nerves/inexperience. I don't feel great for Neeb's chances in the next round, but then again, we all know what he's capable of, and getting to play in the GSL playoff must be one hell of a motivator.

I saw Game 2 and Neeb outplayed Reynor in every stage of the game. Neeb's unit composition was more complicated and predicted what Reynor was doing. I ain't bashing Reynor bc I am a Zerg player myself. That game just makes it look like Reynor is an immature player. The talent is there. Just give him some time.

Well Neeb had bracket luck, but in the end he beat him, so there's where the bracket luck ends On August 17 2018 07:17 argonautdice wrote: If Neeb makes it to the Ro4, it's gonna conflict with WCS Montreal. Considering Koreans and their PvZ, it's possible, but on paper he's big underdog, mostly because it's bo5 so 3 random cheeses won't work.

And yeah, GSL is notoriously unforgiving. Just off the top of my head, I remember InNoVation, Rouge and Classic were all eliminated from the RO32 at times where they seemed favorite to win the whole thing. I think it says a lot about Maru's experience on the GSL stage that he managed to advance after nearly being taken down by Reynor. And he did it in a similar fashion against Keen, when was it, the season before last? Just kept his cool and cheesed his way out of a tough situation and into the RO16. So, basically what I'm saying is that I expect Reynor to continue getting eliminated in the most frustrating ways for at least a while more. But if he keeps this up, in another year or two he'll be even stronger than current-day Serral. And he'll achieve these heights at an even younger age than Serral and Neeb did. God only knows how much better Serral would be in another two years, but I have a feeling Reynor is following a trajectory that ends at a ten-feet neon sign that reads "Bonjwa."

If neeb was a player of Maru's caliber I could see where you're coming from perhaps, but Neeb is no where close to Maru's skill level. It's not banter it's delusion, thinking that his inability to survive past 3 minutes means hes not the worst player to make ro8 in years. Personality? Neeb's "personality" is a chain of forced awkward statements. He doesn't look "cool" for what he said, he looks like an angsty child who can't accept being outclassed. I'm sorry but it's just disrespectful to taunt the reigning champion and favorite to win the tournament, especially after getting soaked. Notice that when Dark loses, he doesn't disrespect his opponents, he's respectful and just practices to get better. When you lose to someone in competition - you don't make fun of them. You should accept the loss and be respectful to the one who defeated you. That's basic tournament ettiquitte, especially when the one who defeated you is considered to be the best and tournament favorite. edit: if a mod could delete my empty post below, that'd be appreciated, I made two consecutive posts when I should have just made one stacked post. I just re-watched the interview.... maybe you should go back on your meds dude. He soft spokenly said that Maru did not let him get to the mid-game. He didn't make fun of him at all.

It could have been the upset of the month. I hope Reynor does not get discouraged and instead tears through the bracket the next time. Go go!
