I agree, this would be a minimal gesture of decency, especially when it is regarding a player that has been competing for years on the highest level and at the same time always demonstrated the highest level of sportsmanship and professional conduct. I have been waiting for it for some time now...

I have been waiting for it for some time now... Not really surprised tho tbh. It's well known that SC2 isn't Liquid's flagship title or mainstream attention. League is undoubtedly the eye of the typhoon for now, tho even with this understanding it does suck that the Liquid boys don't get a proper send off. They did it for Taeja, but why Snute doesn't get the same amount of respect beats me.

I would guess his actual retirement will come at the end of the year, after HSC 18, if he want to go back to school he need to wait until the start of a new semester anyway (unless he's already back at the uni?), there's maybe some contract thing with TL but I can't see them giving him much problem.

Snute is maybe THE liquid foreigner (besides TLO) and one of the top 5 sc2 foreigners of all time. Always consistent, good mannered and a role model in sportsmanship. I cant imagine liquid letting him go without giving him the final applause he deserves.

Hi starcraft friends ^.^ Sorry for the absence and not posting anywhere online for a long while- Some of you might know already but lately I've grown gradually fatigued from competitive SC2. I tried taking some time off from sc and the Internet in general the last months to see if it would get any better. Going back to playing a lot of SC2 hasn't felt right, physically and mentally, even if was easy before. So I've been on a hiatus doing things outside of SC trying to rest up and figure things out. Long story short I decided on not aiming for Blizzcon or attending all the events in 2019 like before. At the same time it's not like I'll quit absolutely everything SC. But it probably won't be the same globetrotter journey with Blizzcon as the goal going forward. Team Liquid has been very supportive regardless of whether I would keep competing or not. The long-term plan is to attend university next autumn (more computer stuff!) while continuing with streaming and gaming. I'll keep you updated on what happens! I've been fortunate to live an amazing pro-gamer life, playing in different places all around the world, with so many fantastic memories to look back on, with tons of support and love. Thanks for making SC2 such a wonderful scene to be part of for so long <3 Despite not competing this time around, I was fortunate to be invited to HomeStory Cup as a guest - I'll be on the couch enjoying my favorite tournament and casting a little ^.^ feel free to tune in to and support one of the absolute best tournaments of the year at https://twitch.tv/taketv - it is live right now and will be every day this weekend! Once again sorry for being missing for so long and thanks for all the love and support throughout the years, at tournaments, on stream, here online and elsewhere. <3 src: https://www.facebook.com/LiquidSnute/posts/1979925092075426
