Maru ? - ? Serral Special played great, but Classic has been a foreigner punching bag this year lol. Yeah it's not like he completely embarassed Serral at IEM Katowice... wait he did do that. Maru also made Serral literally a punching bag during their BO3 at WESG this year. And afterwards Serral walked over Classic and beat Maru in a bo1 at a korean event that he won. But obviously only the results at the early year count, why don't we just forget everything else that happened after that.

anyone could win. every single one of these players can play out of their minds on the right day. no idea who will win

I predict Stats Dark take out sOs Rogue but other wise, we agree

Jin Air gonna win this thing no matter what. Serral wont

Blizzcon is a serious competition for a huge paycheck and respect. Your predictions are hilarious. I don't really see Maru losing to anyone here. Maybe to Stats only. So it's Maru or Rogue winning the whole thing
|
Sucks for Maru that he has to play sOs. Also sucks for Serral he drew ZvZ. Guess it'll have to be an sOs vs. Rogue finals. Let the battle of returning Blizzcon champions commence!
|
as shitty as SoS's play was, you can never count him out, he is a very smart dude and he knows Maru's play better than anyone left.
|
From the very start of the tournament I have the feeling that Stats will take it all. But this really depends whether sOs beats Maru in the Ro8. It is not about who is my favorite and close to heart, but somehow Stats proves that he is really ready to shine, he is still pretty well balanced and solid, no shakes, no mistakes, nothing too crazy, nothing too risky, perfect army composition which is universal no matter of which race he is against with. Probably Rogue vs TY will be the other great match for the whole grand finals along with Special vs Classic. Most of the people really predict 3:2 as a result, yeah, many people vote for Rogue, but both could win with 3:2 in the last second.

Here's the results in prophetic order:

Maru 0-4 Serral
GG. I can't wait to see it.

Hoping for either Maru, sOs or Stats to win. Dark would be cool too but I don't really see it happening

This will be the ultimate test for Serral's zvz. I think he can beat Dark again, then he should go up vs. Rogue, which is a coin flip match. Somehow I've got the feeling, that we might end up with Stats as world champion.

Watch game 3 if you want to see Maru play with his food.
And the Bo1 that Maru and Serral played doesn't count, but Serral fans of course will deny this lol, just like they deny his losses to Classic and Maru this year (how often do you hear Serral fans say that he has won every tournament that he has attended? I've actually heard Incontrol say this before).

Funny how Maru and Serral have the hardest route to grandfinal (most likely 2x TvP and 2x ZvZ). Both would prefer any other opponent.
edit: If you swap Maru and Serral spots, both would have the easiest route to grandfinal.
