Echoing what Quirmish was saying, can you confirm that there will be a Season 2 in the spring? If so, then I understand fully the need to finish the season by February to have enough time for the second season. However, as I currently understand, and this is through conversation with Mona Zhang, a CSL regional director, that this fall/winter season is the only one happening for the 2012-13 academic year. My previous complaint was centered on my perceived knowledge that this will be a one-season year, in which case, the CSL is compounding the schedule for no great reason. The losses, meanwhile, include LAN events, and the tough winter break scheduling in which many of our top players will not be able to compete for the players. We also couldn't host campus-wide viewing parties for our matches. Again, I appreciate your answer to my concerns. I didn't intend to disrespect but simply to express my concerns, as that is what these forums are meant for. I know that you guys have probably thought of and tried to address all of the problems I brought up but to me, it seems that there are better solutions to consider.
Thanks.

We are planning to host 2 seasons a year, which is why the February deadline is a strict season-finish deadline - compound that with the booking of a venue and we have a pretty tight schedule for this first season.
I understand that this marathon-schedule doesn't allow for a lot of the things that teams look forward to (hosting campus-wide viewing parties), but it is a trade-off for the live grand final, as well as new rules (like no obsing) in light of the large stakes of this competition.
My apologies if I left you with the wrong impression about how many seasons we would be running this season. I'm not sure when I said that -- possibly when dead@FallCraft from lack of sleep, possibly when we had less information about this season of Azubu Collegiate Champions.
