That sucks, I want to know what happens! :O

3 years is nothing by blizzard standards... but we probably (hopefully) won't be bored of sc2 during the 1.5 year wait times?
|
It's ready when it's ready

They're holding it back for more money.

That is actually pretty good for Blizz. Although an expansion shouldn't really take even that long. Anyways, in 3 years I wont be sitting in a chair playing video games anymore so I guess that sucks for me. I'll be raising little one by then.

18 months is not so bad. I figured with Blizz's track record it would be at least double that so probably some of the better news I've seen today !
|
its better that they hold it back but its probably gonna take 1.5 year to balance things as they are now before bringing in new units. id love it if it was 1.5 - 2 years between each exp

So 24 months between expansions. Oh god lol.

Wait, 18 months between the 2 expansions like they will release the 2 expansions in the coming 18 months or like, there will be an 18 month gap between each expansion, or will there be an 18 month gap between HotS and LotV?

id imagine the graphics are going to be pretty outdated once the final expansion comes out.

It makes sense to rotate between the three IPs they have.

This is fucking ridiculous, i don't want to have to wait to turn 19-20 years old to get to know the Starcraft 2 story.....
Well, atleast we are getting D3 next year. -_-
|
Remember for Blizzard deadlines you need to add a year to any date given so 30 months per expansion x 2 = ~5 years.

not really an issue with SC i mean people still love BW and its been outdated for 10 years

I'm so glad Blizzard's 6 year WoW-only drought is over

I wouldnt put it past blizzard to do some graphical improvements over the games developement cycle.
I think blizzard does a really good job at making graphic engines that stand the test of time. WoW is almost 6 years old and I'm still shocked by what they can pull off with a modified warcraft 3 engine. Their art direction is simply unmatched.

18 months between the 2 exapansions.
Doesn't that mean around 9 months each expansion?
