Ok, so these are kind of stale and outdated, but I was on the road for two weeks and didn't have a chance to upload any of these until now. At the Intel Extreme Masters American Championships, I managed to snag one interview with SUGGY and drewbie, and two interviews with both HuK and qxc. These videos are great for seeing what the players' thought processes were like during the actual tournament at the height of competition, as well as where their heads were at going into MLG DC the following weekend. =)
drewbie interview, Day 1, after winning his group stage games against MurDeR 2-0. + Show Spoiler +
HuK interview, Day 1, after winning his group stage games against SUGGY 2-0. + Show Spoiler +
SUGGY interview, Day 1, after losing 0-2 to HuK and 1-2 to MurDeR in some very close base-trade matches during group stages. + Show Spoiler +
qxc interview, Day 1, after losing to Fenix 0-2 in the group stages. + Show Spoiler +
HuK interview, Day 3, after finishing up the tournament in third. He talks about his matches with qxc on Day 2 and the games with drewbie for third/fourth. + Show Spoiler +
qxc interview, Day 3, after his long TvT series with Fenix in the grand finals. + Show Spoiler +
More videos from the event will be coming tonight and tomorrow, and all of my MLG DC stuff will be up as soon as I can edit and upload everything on my channel: http://www.youtube.com/AskJoshy and my blog: http://www.AskJoshy.com
Thanks for watching! I won't be able to attend Blizzcon this weekend so hopefully Artosis picks up where I left off. =)
Oh Joshy you're so adorable (no homo). Great content, thanks for the shit. But only watching the protoss players, focus more on that next time. Cut out the fat (terran) =)
I really liked the "round table" (w/o the table, the floor, rather) that you had at Raleigh I believe. Try to get some more of that if you can, that was good stuff. nony's face about slush's comments on the artosis match was priceless.
Here's the last of my IEM New York footage all mashed up. This includes a few shots of the stage, the screens, the casters, players, crowd, etc. Also in there is the awards ceremony for Fenix, qxc, and HuK, as well as Carmac picking up HuK and carrying him around on his shoulders.
I should be sleeping but I just watched all the interviews. Awesome job all around. Great questions (and thank you for subtitling) and thanks for the context before each video.
It's really cool to finally put names and faces together, and overally I was really surprised how well-spoken and generally un-nerdy these ubernerds seemed in their interviews. Like qxc cracked me up and how can you not like HuK?
Anyway, thanks for these and I hope you continue to get press access and can do more interviews in the future.
being in NY and DC is already a great coverage not making it to every event is understandable but will enjoy any videos you put up from future events, which you will be covering. good job keep it up
