The time has come for our twenty-seventh IGN Pro League Fight Club! This is a weekly king of the hill showmatch series. Basically, there will be a 1 vs. 1 best of 9 showmatch each and every week, where the winner will earn a $500 prize and a $100 bounty on their head. For example, if a player wins three weeks in a row they will have earned $1,500 and a $300 bounty. If a NEW challenger defeats him, they will earn $500 for the showmatch, take the $300 bounty home, and have a new $100 bounty placed on their head for each week that they win.
StarTale Squirtle is in full command of the PvZ match-up, as he's shown us in the last two Fight Clubs against CoCa and VortiX. This week, Quantic Illusion will be trying to test out Squirtle's PvT. Illusion went to Hot Import Nights and hung in there against Liquid'HerO as well as SlayerS`MMA. Will he be able to take down Squirtle in this David vs Goliath match-up? You'll have to tune in to find out.

Saying Squirtle 5-0 might be a bit too optimistic of me, but it's Squirtle for crying out loud...
Meh, 5-1

As long as Illusion doesn't get too intimidated and doesn't play too standard, he has a good chance.

Why does IPL invite Illusion to everything they do?
|
I'm calling it as 5-2 Squirtle.

Illu has absolutely no chance imo, 5:0.

5:0 illusion, he does 5 11/11 in a row, squirtle seems to have held it off every time but then self defeats.

Probably because there are very few noteworthy Americans with decent results/potential these days.

Hot Night Imports or however it was called was an exhibition event in the United States, not a major league or tournament. It makes sense to invite a "home" player that the casual audience can feel a connection with.
In IPL FC they need to give foreigners a chance often enough to maintain mainstream interest in the events. Many, if not most, highly rated foreigners have already been invited. Even if some haven't, IPL seems to throw them in randomly (in context of skill). It also has probably has a lot to do with who's available, has enough time to prepare, and so on. It isn't so surprising for Illusion to enter the rotation at some point or the other.
|
It's probably going to be closer than most people think, but Squirtle should still come out on top.
Don't be too surprised if Illusion takes three or four games though.
|
Squirtle is going to take this. Yet, feel like if Illusion prepares really hard, he might stand some chance. Inviting Illusion makes me feel like IPL want someone to overcome the 3-win hottest streak of Sheth and HerO.

With Totalbiscuit and Catspajamas casting there's at least going to be a lot of excitement. Although this is probably going to be pretty onesided.

Hard to see squirtle not winning this. Good luck to both players

I'm gonna say Illusion will win since squirtle lost to Mvp and Taeja and a couple of other Terrans in various team leagues.

I'd love to see Scarlett/Major/Idra/Suppy play in this.
