LANified! proudly invites you to our next grand event, LANified! 15: Battleplans, our two day LAN party, with plenty of gaming, hot food and tournaments (with $1100 in cash prizing!). The event runs from Saturday Oct 12th 10am to Sunday Oct 13th 6pm in Calgary Alberta Canada.
Players must be present for the beginning of a match, if you are late you may be disqualified In all matches up to finals both players must agree to the map In the finals, the first map is agreed upon between both entrants; the following maps will be picked by the loser of the previous game, this order resets if the second match occurs In the event of a disconnect the re-connect feature will be used, if it fails we will revert to the below rules If a player disconnects within the first 2 minutes of a match, that match will be restarted on a different map, both players must agree to the new map If a player disconnects a second time during a match within the first 2 minutes of any additional attempts, they will forfeit the current match If a player disconnects 2 minutes or later into the match they will receive a loss. The exception to this is if they have significant advantage, at which point an admin makes a judgement call, potentially resulting in a rematch on a different map All players will show professional courtesy to one another All players should automatically save all replays in-case of dispute (this is a built-in game feature) Cheats/hacks will not be tolerated. Cheating during a tournament will result in your expulsion from the event without refund
I might be interested in coming up if you guys change the rules to reflect reality, a couple of my buddies were up in the spring and had fun.
Players must be present for the beginning of a match, if you are late you may be disqualified In all matches up to finals both players must agree to the map In the finals, the first map is agreed upon between both entrants [Not the dumbest rule, but not standard in sc2, admins should determine first map or have players veto]; the following map will be picked by the loser of the previous game. In the event of a disconnect the re-connect feature will be used, if it fails we will revert to the below rules If a player disconnects the game will be restarted from replay ten (10) seconds prior to the disconnect. Abuse of this rule will be dealt with at admins discretion. Other misc; You should make a ruling on race picking in a bo3 (I recommend you require players to play out a set of games as the same race. Bo3 is better in every way and wont greatly influence time of completion in a <32 man bracket. Alternatively a double elim would be ok too. (Both are better)
All constructive criticism, I know you guys have been doing this for a bit and would love to see it done more AND better :D
oh and one last thing, how the forum works on Teamliquid I would recommend putting Calgary first, people that know the town and don't know your lan group are more likely to see it since Calgary will show up.
I found I got a lot more views putting Edmonton in front on TL.

This sounds awesome but i need a little bit of info before i travel 8 hours for this. Firstly do we have to sleep at the venue, personally the gf and I will prolly be looking to stay in a hotel room for the duration. Also what food services are provided? Are we able to bring beer/booze with us into the venue? Also what time does this all start and if I understand right its all Bo1? I figured most lans were bo3? Anyways sounds fun and I hope to be there!
Sleeping at the venue is optional. If you want to do it, it's an available option, but if not then that's your choice. We do however have a rule that equipment and items cannot leave between midnight and 8am, this is so that we can prevent any theft of items. If you do sleep elsewhere your items are secure at the location.
The food services we have had in the past consist of a professional chef preparing and serving hot food to your seat. Some examples from our last event include 3 cheese grilled cheese sandwiches (2 of them for $5), or a sizable and delicious cheese burger for $5. There's also some snacks and cold drinks on site, but we try to tune and improve the menu each time.
Alcohol is not allowed at our events at this time. We have had events in the past where it was allowed, but at this time we are not arranging for that to be a possibility. You are welcome to bring your own food/drink, but we suspect you'll enjoy the food services we have.
The event runs from 10am Saturday till 6pm Sunday non-stop. The tournament schedule is not yet finalized.
Due to time constraints the tournament is Double Elimination, with matches consisting of Bo1. However, I can't recall if this changes for Semis/Finals, I'll have to double check on that.
There are LANs that run Bo3 matches, but that will consume too much time. We will also have a Sc2 mini-tournament, 8 player ffa so the main tournaments aren't everything.
Also, you probably notice that the site is not up right now, we are looking to correct that very quickly. Sorry about that.

Unfortunately right now our website is offline. However we are working diligently to correct this. At this time we estimate it will be back up in the next week. This is longer than we would like, but we need to make sure it is done correctly and some underlying updates need to be performed.
The event is still happening, and if you have any questions, concerns or comments please email me at bloodyiron .at. lanified .dot com.
Once the site is back up we will be able to take registration and prepays again.
Hey fellow gamers! Guess what time it is? LANified! time!
This weekend is our next event. So bring your rigs on down and let's have a great time!
The LAN starts at 10am Saturday, and to get directions you can use our location tool here: http://www.lanified.com/locations/details/4 . You simply enter your address and then hit "Get Directions", it's so easy!
For those keeners who want to fill out our waiver in advance of the event, you can find it here: http://www.lanified.com/downloads/LANified_Waiver_Oct12_2013.pdf . Those who are under 18 years of age must have it signed by their parent/legal guardian at the door. If your parent/legal guardian are unable to sign at the door please notify us and we'll coordinate an alternative solution. You can PM bloodyiron on the forums or email him.
If you are planning to attend and have not yet signed up, please do so to help keep check-in as smooth as possible!
Unfortunately due to a bug in our site we are unable to update our tournament rules at this time. Please consider the following:
Starcraft 2 disconnects will result in loading a replay and restarting the game at the time of disconnect, same players in same slots.
All players must automatically save replays. If a replay is not saved the match will be replayed.
The League of Legends 3v3 mini-tournament will actually be round-robin, unless you really want a King of the Hill (be nice to Bio)
We will not have a graphic for the event schedule, so here is the text version:
Security Lockdown (no equipment leaves): Start 12am (midnight) Sunday, End 8am Sunday (See rules)
League of Legends 5v5: Start 12pm (noon) Sunday
LAN closes at 6pm Sunday
Also unfortunate is that we will not be having a concession at this event. I know you have come to enjoy our concession, but we cannot reasonably deliver it for this event.
