According to a german magazine PC Action and a german translator in Neogaf, we got it. It's coming brothers. We'll also get more details when the magazine comes out.
Since the beginning of the year, PC gamers have rumbled for a chance to get repeatedly brutally murdered at the hands of Dark Souls. This rumbling eventually became more organized in the form of an actual petition where over ninety thousand gamers pleaded their case to have the opportunity to constantly lose at a game. The devs seemed to take note. On the Namco-Bandai forums, social reps for the boards relayed the players wishes to higher-ups. In turn, players were simply told, “They’re listening”.
Then came The Wall. Speculation had reached a fevered pitch while, as time passed, pieces of the wall began crumbling down. Rumors flew about like so many controllers from the hands of frustrated players, but it all came down to one simple question: “What’s behind the wall?” Well now we have it.
According to this thread on NeoGAF, the German gaming magazine PC Action had a preview in which it revealed that Dark Souls has been confirmed for PC. Features are 1:1 for the most part in comparison to their console brethren, with no new contend aside from the introduction of new (mini?)bosses.
Reported to be released in August, PC gamers will finally get the chance to develop a case of chronic hypertension like the rest of us. Welcome to the covenant, brothers. Bonfire’s to your left, and please remember to praise the sun at all times.
Guys...it's finally coming. We don't know basically anything other than it's coming, but fuck, it's coming! Yes there is a Dark Souls thread, but this is big fucking news and I feel like it really deserves its own thread for its own discussion. Especially as new people on the PC begin to touch it when it comes out in August ^^ It's basically going to be a brand new game for hundreds of thousands of people, and plenty of people here, but I apologize in advance for the potential unnecessary nature of the thread, I'm just so excited :D

I'm pretty sure, all things considered, this is a -bit- more than a mindless rumor. Considering Namco devs on the forum said to "keep your eyes open" for a PC release a month or so back after that huge petition, along with that 'major announcement' break the wall down thing on their facebook, and now this, just as the 'wall' is about to be broken down on that little announcement page.
I really hope this happens, I been thinking of playing this game since demons souls but I dont have a console. One of the few games these days that are made for GAMERS and not for housewives who play zynga games and wow, like everything else these days <.<. Come to me pc port NAO!.
God damn I'm just...It's going to be like a brand new game :D Thousands of people not knowing what the fuck is going on and shit with super high FPS. I just hope the veterans go easy on us.

Still waiting for that facebook-wall-thingie to break, just to be sure.
If it was moddable, I can definitely see Dark Souls having some crazy potential and sales. It'd definitely be worth it to put it in there.
I'm pretty sure they'll release mod tools, but pretty sure it will be mostly aesthetic stuff. Especially since the idea of cross-platform play is still in the air between PS3/PC.
Hope its not just a bad console port, even if the game is epic if comp users get stuck with shitty controls it's gonna detract a lot from the experience. But they did wait quite a long time, so hopefully that was to get the PC version up to snuff.

This is my hope as well, in addition to mods, but I'd be perfectly happy if the controls were done right.
Question is, should I buy it again? I haven't even beaten the 360 version yet, but dark souls is so awesome, I might just need to buy it again to show support ^^
It's tough, but once you figure out the combat and get some decent equipment it becomes much easier. Some of the boss' and tougher monsters will still pose a challenge as well as pvp. Its the kind of game thats hard at first but gets easier as you figure it out. Thankfully the combat is all skill based so if you have quick reflexes you can get through most of it without much trouble. Its way more challenging then any western action rpg I can tell you that though.

I've been playing it on my Xbox for the past few days. I've been having a pretty fucking tough time 2.5 hours in, and apparently it gets much harder and there is much more for me to do. So yes, it's pretty fucking hard. It's not even artificially hard like I thought it would, every time I've died I knew why it happened and it was never anything really bullshit. Which makes me happy, because it makes winning all the cooler. It's mostly about finding a flow though. Everything is hard the first time, but once I figured out how to handle certain mobs and shit it becomes a bit of a breeze. However, I still love it. It's refreshing from the retard-proof stuff we get these days.
If you got the extra dosh, and a console, definitely pick it up. I wouldnt wait until August :>
