How do you feel about bringing your team the victory with your three kills?
I was sent out in during a critical moment. I was afraid of the game to come before I even faced sOs. But I knew well the advantages I had and I think I utilized them well in my game. I think the game against ZerO was the biggest wall I had to overcome.
It looked like you weren't going to be able to block ZerO's attacks but you did in the end.
I was able to win because I reacted to his attacks patiently and I had the superior upgrades. To be honest, I was hoping he would all in me. It's because I practiced defending against all ins a lot. Anyways, I'm glad that I won. I practiced a ton of PvPs on Antiga Shipyard. I focused mainly on Entombed Valley, Arkanoid, and Antiga Shipyard. For the last game, I had a feeling that Light was going to try something funny.
Light being sent in as the ace must have been unexpected.
The map is good for Terrans so I saw that Light was a possibility. I told myself that I had to win no matter what.
You grabbed nine victories in this second round.
We had to practice so much that the good results followed through. I think my SC2 skills have improved a lot. Also, I've been slowly preparing for HotS during my breaks. I'm going to proceed onward while always believing in my coaches.
How is HotS?
The things that need to be patched are very obvious so I'm not really going to say anything about balance just yet. I would really like to grab a championship for HotS at least once.
Are you confident for the Code A qualifiers?
I plan on sticking to the basics. During the previous qualifiers, I was really confident but I ended up losing to jjakji's all in. Ever since then, I've been practicing a lot to ensure that I can react well to all ins.
A lot of people are saying that once Proleague goes back to the original format rather than the all kill format, it will become difficult for Team 8.
For this season, our goal is to always send every match to the ace game scenario. For all kill formats, every team always sends out their best players but I think we'll be fine for the original format as well.
You now have 12 victories with today's three kills. This season's goals?
My goal is to get into the top five for most wins. And I'm working really hard to ensure that I don't feel pressured by setting that kind of goal for myself. I think my results have been really good so far because I haven't been greedy.
Anything else you would like to say?
Since we're going back to the original format, I hope the dongsaengs who never got chances to get sent out during the all kill format show their true skills for the next round. It would be nice if the entire team could work together and go all the way to the post season. I hope we can all do our best.
