Tell us how you feel about advancing to the quarter finals as first from your group.
I thought I was in a really hard group. So I approached my group with a peaceful mindset but I am so glad that I was able to advance out of my group as first.
With today's victory, you have secured your spot for next season's Code S. You will start off in a really good position for next season.
I haven't really played a lot of HotS but I think Terran is okay. I think Terran will get better in HotS than WoL so I think I'll be able to do even better than how I'm doing now.
Let's talk about the game a bit. You used some really nice positioning with your tanks and kept your opponent at bay. Were these positions planned out?
That wasn't it. It was improvised. I just played like I always do since TvTs are more about sticking to the basics rather than coming up with specific strategies.
You started off game two after suffering harassment early on. You must have been surprised after seeing the planetary fortress at TaeJa's second expansion.
I was surprised by the planetary fortress but even more important than that was that I was expecting an all in with siege tanks to come at me. So I grabbed my 1-1 upgrades and decided to go for an all in. I realized it was far too late for me to play catch up because of the early game harassment I suffered.
In the winners' round, you met Ro32 opponent, DRG again.
I lost to him last time so I was expecting a difficult victory when I came to the studio. But I saw Bomber's match today so I figured that I would have a chance as long as I played my macro games correctly. So I decided to go for a macro game for game one and then see what kind of build orders I would do afterwards.
If you overcome the Ro8 wall, you will tie with your personal best record. If you want to advance to the semifinals, who do you think you should face?
I want to face MarineKing. I just feel like it's going to be easier than playing a Zerg or a Protoss.
Personally, how high of a chance do you think you have winning the championship?
Before today's results came out I was expecting to get eliminated in the Ro16. But I won through macro games today so I was able to gain confidence. I see about a 10% chance of success personally. And even 10% is too high (laughs).
Why do you think you're doing poorly in Proleague though?
The GSL booths are really roomy and comfortable. I even think the sound is better in the GSL booths so I can focus better. I think that's why I make good results.
So far, your win ratio in TvTs for GSL is 100%.
Personally, I feel like I lack the most in skill for TvTs. I think for GSL, I just won a lot of build order battles. I have no idea myself as to why I have such a high win ratio for the GSL.
Anything else you would like to say?
I was able to win like this right before the Chinese New Year so I think I'll be able to rest with a peaceful mindset. I am going prepare well even after the break and work hard to try to place high since this is the final WoL tournament. I also hope that everyone else will also have a really nice break.

You defeated DongRaeGu in the final match and advanced to the Ro8 of Code S. Tell us how you feel.
This is the final WoL tournament and I have yet to win a tournament in Korea. I wanted to put on an awesome performance this season and I am so happy that this kind of result came out. I am also so happy that I was able to secure my spot for Code S for next HotS season.
How did you prepare for your group after the group nominations ended?
It was a group with one Zerg and three Terrans so I was planning on just letting the Zerg advance so that I could focus on nothing but TvTs. So I practiced mostly for TvTs and had almost no preparations done for TvZ.
You disappointingly lost to INnoVation in the first round.
I thought I was going to be able to block his attack. But I decided to land my vikings and that's why I lost.
How come your signature medivac plays were hardly seen today?
As I was playing I kept on getting supply blocked. So I missed my timings for medivac plays. And by the time my supply depots were up and running, I had forgotten all about medivac plays.
You grabbed a complete victory against Bomber in the losers' round.
Bomber hyung is a Terran player like everyone else but his style is just so different. I knew that he likes to go for aggression after he defends just once so I was able to play comfortably.
Game one against DRG was pretty neck and neck. You had a chance to cut his economy off or destroy his buildings during the late game but it seemed like you were unable to.
I had already given up on that game since my proxy rax build had failed. So I decided to do everything I could to try to tire him out. I had no plans to try to win. For game two on Daybreak I had prepared a four rax build. I should have busted through but I wasn't able to. So I thought to myself "looks like this is it" but all of a sudden I was put in an advantageous situation and I was able to win.
How high do you think your chances are of winning the championship for this season?
I haven't thought as far as winning the championship so I don't really know. For now, I need to win all the games that are right in front of me.
What do you think will hinder you the most from winning the championship?
Zerg. Zergs are all difficult.
Anything else you would like to say?
I want to thank our sponsors Twitch.tv, Razer, Barracuda Networks, and TLAF. Lastly, I want to thank a good hyung of mine for coming to the studio to cheer me on.
