Tell us how you feel about advancing to the Ro16 as first from your group.
Right now, I am in a situation where I am not being relied on from my team (laughs). I am relieved that I was able to get through my individual league group. I am glad that I was able to advance into the OSL.
How was game one against Maru?
I figured that I had won when I first attempted that attack. So I played the rest of that game with the mentality that I couldn’t lose.
You went for a four gas roach/hydra strategy. It was a very daring strategy where you could not fall back if it was blocked.
I had no idea what kind of strategy Maru was going to come out with. So I made the decision to attack first before he could hit me.
Do you think the bo1 format for the Ro32 was advantageous for you?
I don’t like to play bo1s. But I asked a lot of hyungs who had Starleague experience and they told me that I would be perfectly capable of making it through as long as I just prepared well. So I think it worked out well for me today because I came with a prepared concept.
You weren’t able to get to the quarter-finals for Season 1. You faced KangHo in the final match.
I really hope KangHo makes it up again (laughs). But honestly, I was pretty satisfied within myself because I was able to get to the Ro16 for Season 1. But for this season, I am not going to allow myself to be satisfied and just do my very best until the end.
This season’s goals?
Of course my goal is to win the championship. I probably would have stated that the quarter-finals would have been my goal in the past but right now, I want the championship.
Any round that you think will be the biggest wall to overcome?
Personally, I think I am weak when it comes to bo5 formats. If I can get to the quarter-finals, getting past that will probably be difficult.

Tell us how you feel about advancing to the Ro16.
I thought that I was going to get eliminated because I was so nervous for game one. I am so glad that I was able to make it through like this.
You are the only Prime representative in the OSL.
I haven’t really accomplished anything, and yet people said I was the child head of the household so I felt really pressured (laughs).
How was your first match in YongSan?
I wasn’t able to adapt very well to the new booths and environment.
Like you previously stated, your game one performance was not the best.
I won all my games during practice but my build orders got messed up because I got really nervous after I actually arrived at the studio. I would give myself a 50/100 for that performance. I think I am capable of showing a lot more if I can just overcome my nervousness.
You took on a lot of damage in the losers’ round because of EffOrt’s blinding clouds. What was the situation like?
I was in a really advantageous situation. So I knew that I could still take him on with my reinforcements even if I did lose my main army.
You’ve accomplished your personal best record of advancing to the Ro16. What are your goals for this season?
My initial goal was to get to the Ro16. Since I accomplished this goal, I am going to now aim for the quarter-finals.
The Ro16 will resume regular bo3 tournament format.
I think that’s a much harder format. I see that I am going to have to prepare even more extensively than I have been doing.
Anything else you would like to say?
I want to thank ByuN hyung for coming with me today. I want to apologize to my mother for not being there for her birthday today. I hope I was able to make it up to her a little with my victory today. Lastly, I want to thank TerrOr hyung for helping me with practice.

You advanced out of Group D as second. Tell us how you feel.
During the previous OSL, I fell out during the Dual Tournament. The OSL stage was a place where I’ve always wanted to get on, so I will do my absolute best since I made it through like this.
Game one was a complete loss.
It was 100% my fault. I missed too many things. I am going to have to make sure I focus better and scout better for my next matches.
You have a rather low win percentage for ZvP.
Recently, I’ve been losing a lot of my ZvPs. I don’t normally lose this badly during practice but my performance today was not good. I will make sure I practice really hard and win the next time I meet a Protoss. Even if I do lose, I will make sure I don’t lose as badly as I did today.
You were also at a disadvantage for the losers’ round.
Shine had the advantage. We had a difference in expansion numbers and I decided go for too many roaches. I lost my hatchery and all but I still had an army capable of pulling off one huge attack so I saw that I still had a chance.
It feels like today’s performance wasn’t really the Symbol we’re used to.
There is nothing to say about my ZvP today except that it was a complete loss. I also made too many mistakes for my ZvZs. I think I pulled off a 30/100 performance wise.
How was your first match in YongSan?
I think the GOMtv booths are better than YongSan’s. There really weren’t many other differences, but I did find the SC2 curtain call entrance music to be rather bothersome.
They took away the group nominations for the Ro16 and now things are done through a raffle.
I wanted to do the OSL group nominations so I am a little disappointed that it disappeared. Looks like I don’t really have any other choices but to work hard. I don’t really have anyone I’d like to meet but I know that I’m confident enough to face any Zerg or Terran players. But ZvP is going to be difficult.
This season’s goals?
Since I already realize that I am lacking in ZvP skills, my goal for this season is to overcome my ZvP funk. My first and foremost goal will be to get to the quarter-finals. I am going to feel so much at ease once I get to the quarter-finals because I’ll know that I’ve secured my spot for next season’s Premier League. I want to get to the quarter-finals first before thinking about any other goals.
Anything else you would like to say?
I want to thank Sleep and the supervisor for coming with me today. I also want to thank all the players who either helped me out with practice or gave me advice. These days, my ZvP performances have been rather embarrassing. I will make sure that I put on a good form from here on out so that I can make up for my past performances. Lastly, I want to thank our sponsors AZUBU and Razer.

You advanced out of your group as first. How do you feel?
It’s been five since I’ve made it to the Ro16 of an individual league. I am really glad. I want to do well and advance to a really high place.
Where do you think your skills are at currently?
I am starting to grasp the concept for this game because I’m diligently practicing. But I still haven’t been able to bring out my skills that I do for practice.
Group D consisted of three Zerg players and you. It must have been rather easy to prepare for your group.
I prepared build orders that I use during practice on a frequent basis for the tournament. I figured I would be fine as long as I executed my build orders like usual. It was really comfortable.
Were you expecting to advance out as first even though your group consisted of some strong Zerg players.?
I had a feeling that I would advance out as first as long as I could win my first game. But getting through was even easier than I expected.
It seemed like Curious was rather nervous for the winners’ round.
When I was playing against him in the winners’ round, I didn’t see any indication that Curious was feeling nervous. I pretty much told myself that I had it won and then I was sure of it when I saw what he was doing with my phoenix.
Ro16 will resume regular bo3 tournament format. Any specific player you would like to face?
I don’t care who I face as long as I don’t have to face INnoVation hyung (laughs). INnoVation hyung is a fellow teammate so I want to avoid meeting him.
If you want to advance to the season finals, then you’ll need to get in the top five. Do you think it will be possible?
It’s going to depend on how well I do from here on out. I think it’s fairly possible though.
Anything else you would like to say?
I am a little disappointed that the group nominations are gone now (laughs). Lastly, I want to thank the fans who came to the studio to cheer me on.
