I contacted Destiny and the WEC admin and they both said it's okay that I cancel; I'm gonna take like a week of no playing just to hopefully give my hand some rest it really needs~ I'm worried this might affect my performance in WCS ro32 but i'll still try to prepare enough in time

If you can't actively practice, you might as well come in more mentally prepared than anyone else. good luck! I was worried when you said you wouldn't go to open bracket if you didn't qualify, but I guess I didn't need to. Canada has a favorite to chear for now at IEM

She has a 65% zvz in that time period -- most of which were played against top players. It's been an incredible turnaround. She had just gotten to Korea when she lost to hendralisk, and she has improved a ton in Korea. Also, dem terrans

Well done, BIG congrats!!! This is just poetry, reading the next day so much enthusiasm on this thread ------------- That's our Scarlett, fighting through pain and winning in style. Btw, about that wrist problem, for most people it is easy to judge, but they don't understand how PAINFUL that can get, in some cases it hurts so insanely bad, that it's difficult to hold a pen. When she paused vs puck, she said in game chat what the problem was, I can't even imagine how that was hurting, if she had no choice left but to take an urgent break. Wonderful! Now it's time to enjoy Korea! And let's see your new hairstyle, I'm hyped!

Where is the pain coming from the nerves or muscles is it something that can be operated on in the future? The pain is due to tendonitis, which happens when a muscle/tendon gets overused through repetition, similar to tennis elbow. It's not an acute injury, so the only way to fix it is through rest and therapy, and it will always be around so long as Scarlett plays Starcraft. Injuries are a common part of any sport, and esports is no exception, and athletes often play through pain, or have their preparation hindered. It must have been very hard for Scarlett to go from having her hand hurt so badly against puCK, and then nearly 3-0'ing viOLet in the next series.

Where is the pain coming from the nerves or muscles is it something that can be operated on in the future? There is a lot you can do to address tendinitis but the problem is treatment is rarely an immediate fix or a perfect fix. Treatment for tendinitis is typically frustratingly slow and incremental. Surgery is an option but is usually only reserved for a very serious issue where there is no other option, eg a severed tendon or extremely damaged tendon (like one would receive in a traumatic sports injury.) The good news is tendinitis can be overcome or managed to the point where it's not a daily issue.
