Welcome to this month's top streamers list!
Huh? What's this? I run Fuzic - which collects statistics and rankings of StarCraft II live streams - and these threads are a summary of the viewer numbers for the past month. They are a continuation of Conti's threads. Check previous month's thread for more info on the differences between these threads and Conti's.
Data is sourced from fuzic, and additional up-to-date stats may be found there. But in these threads - which I will try to post at the beginning of every month - there will be a monthly summary so you can get a quick overview of that month's viewer numbers.
Differences with last month
- Some streams were not ranked correctly due to problems with very long streaming sessions and streams that were live during the transition from one month to another. These inaccuracies have been fixed (and the rankings for past months have been recalculated). Thanks to LDaVinci, JimmyJRaynor and Winter for reporting these problems.
- The table now also lists the time streamed in hours, in addition to the more readable "1d 4h"-style format. Thanks to desRow for this suggestion.
- As always, suggestions and requests are welcome!
Inclusion criteria or: why is Winter in the list‽ The rankings list any stream that is reported on by the APIs of the various streaming services (Twitch, Azubu, etc). I have no way of verifying to what extent someone's viewers are legitimate, and therefore will not independently ban someone from the rankings. Please do not start (another) discussion about this in this thread.
The lists "VxH" is the average amount of viewers multiplied by the amount of hours the streamer has streamed during that month. The list is sorted by this metric, as it gives a good impression of the streamer's activity through the month.
You can click the links below the charts for additional stats and a list you can sort by whichever metric you prefer.
Note that some matches may be missing: this part is reliant on whether the matches were listed in TL's calendar

A belated response to last week's thread since I didn't want to bump it -
On May 25 2016 23:07 WinterStarcraft wrote: Thank you for updating the site which myself, and many other sc2 streamers use to keep track of sc2 stats/events that sites like socialblade (I used during the couple months of fuzic downtime) fail to really help with information.
A few things personally I've noticed are the Saturday/Sunday carryovers. I doubt it carries into monthly stats but there are many times when a 6-12 hour stream (Saturday to Sunday is frequently a popular stream time) does not show up in weekly fuzic stats. I assume this is because the reset timer is sometime during the stream and may discount the stream entirely.
It seems this doesn't have quite the effect on monthly stats but the site is based on weekly numbers so it is relevant to that. If I wanted to dive into stats I could probably come up with a few hours missing but in comparing my twitch stats to the post it is within 5%.
This is personal opinion from here. Judging the montly events based on amount of viewers does not accurately reflect interest or following in certain events (like foreign finals etc). I think the relevant basis would either be as compared to relevant events (aka WCS Spring 2015 finals to WCS Spring 2016 finals) or possibly to overall TWITCH viewers. The events surpassing a subjective view count isn't especially informative or helpful. I think things like unique viewer counts or regular viewers could be incredibly helpful, and it is possible both Blizz and/or ESL have those stats, but like even my (or any partnered streamers) viewer details, isn't open to the public.
Thanks again for putting this together.
Good feedback. I've checked it and there were indeed some problems with the week/month turnovers, which should be fixed now (and for the previous months as well).
I agree that the top events list loses some meaning when it's not put into context. It's not always possible to find a good event to compare to, however, especially not with WCS changing its format every year. Comparing it to the overall viewer count on Twitch is an interesting idea, and worth looking into. I don't have that number available for the past but I'll see if I can track it from now on and show it in future charts.
As for the "events > 15,000 viewers", I mainly added that because I feel there is some correlation between the average view count and the amount of big events - a month with fewer big events will be a slower month overall as well. So obviously the average will be higher for months with WCS finals, etc. The 15,000 cutoff is arbitrary, of course, and if anyone knows a better way to put the monthly average into context I'll be happy to change the graph.

weowLAD, I thought this list would be much smaller and less viewers

why did he get warned. Winter should not ever be on this list. he is a disgrace to our community.
Funny to see Happy twice on the list, for english and russian i assume?

I would really appreciate it if we could for once have one of these threads without a discussion about Winter. As I said in the OP:
Inclusion criteria or: why is this stream in the list‽The rankings list any stream that is reported on by the APIs of the various streaming services (Twitch, Azubu, etc). I have no way of verifying to what extent someone's viewers are legitimate, and therefore will not independently ban someone from the rankings. If you really disagree with him being there, just ignore #1 and start reading the list from #2, it's not that big of a deal.

If you honestly didn't want to have a discussion about winter, what you will really do is:
"Inclusion criteria or: why is Winter in the list".
Your problem solved. You don't need to thank me, it's not that [/big] of a deal

I hoped people would understand that my general statement also covered Winter, but I suppose it doesn't hurt to make it as clear as possible.
|
by now people should know it's pointless to discuss winter. everything has been said, there is no 100% proof and we just have to ignore him if we think he's fake.
|
No, we know he is viewbotted. Winter has said so himself. What he also says is that he can't stop the viewbotting. Make of that what you will.

Why not just ban these people?... The thread just turns to trash otherwise.
And pls man, for your own good... get over it.
It's like Winter is your girlfriend and you just can't let go... You're still hanging onto to this from 2 years ago?
Or by all means, start another match-fixing thread. A better spend of your energy?

Because Winter isn't using viewbots to average 1000 viewers, He's also been cleared by Blizzard and Teamliquid that his average viewers are legitimate.
Basically it means you're all a bit butthurt and really can't accept the fact that he can manage over 700 subs and 1500 viewers.....

GJ Hui! One of the few starcraft steam actually saw some growth in viewership ...
