One of the things that TeamLiquid values highly is a poster's contribution to the community. Contributions done out of pure passion and love for the game are always welcomed and greatly appreciated. Even more so when they help the community as it goes through a dire situation. Keeping this in mind, TeamLiquid would like to honor a member of the BW community on this day.
Back in 2013 during the Sonic era, there were a few returning BW players that streamed on Afreeca. At the time, it was difficult to watch them so many relied on snipealot streams. Alongside those streams ran another stream that provided a constant BW fix for the BW community. This stream, started by Medry on October of 2013, constantly streamed a lot of OSL, MSL, ProLeague and TSL games for all viewers. Since the streams' inception, it has rarely gone offline except when there are power outages or hard drive failures.
The stream almost always has at least 20+ viewers and has been constantly improved since those early days. Downloading and adding more games, taking feedback from other posters and trying to write scripts as well as providing constant maintenance and footing large bills are just a few of the things that Medry has partaken in for the sole purpose of providing another outlet for us to watch BW. He expected nothing in return and it is this passion, this kind of act that is looked greatly upon on TeamLiquid.
Passion isn't always expressed through one of our main games. The mafia forum remains one of our most active subforums and that community is only sustained by the drive of it's members. It's not just the hosting and running of games that keeps things going, it's also the creation of supporting content like guides and the tracking of past games.
kitaman27 has been an active part of the mafia community for many years. Since 2012 he has maintained a database of mafia games played on TeamLiquid.net stretching back to our first game in 2008.
The amount of information kitaman27 has recorded here is astounding. Curious to see who has been the most successful TLnet mafia player is? Want to know how often a mafia is lynched on Day 1? How many mafia players on TLnet were there in 2013? What is Plexa's record in TLnet mafia games? All of this information is recorded and available to satisfy your curiosity (and if you're wondering - Adam4167 has the best win percentage at 73.3% over 15 games, although you might be more impressed by marvellosity's 61% winrate over 82 games! A mafia is lynched 25.9% of the time on Day 1. There were 311 active mafia players in 2013. Plexa's record in mafia is a respectable 3W 1L, and has made it to the endgame twice!)
Medry and kitaman27, you've done a great service to the BW community and mafia community respectively. Many folks have expressed their thanks and we also would like to do the same. Congratulations to you both!

I 100% agree. On many nights I leave Medry's stream running on my bedroom TV before, and often after, I fall asleep. Over the last 3+ years I've probably logged over 1000 hours on Medry's stream, even if I was only awake for less than half of those hours!

I have spent many nights/days watching Medry stream. There have been some many big contributors to the foreign BW scene and he will without a doubt go down as a legend.

While I am not at all familiar with the mafia community, the ammount of work kitaman27 has apparently done is impresive indeed. I've known of the eternal BW stream for some time, but I have never payed attention to who ran it. Now I know better.
I thank you both for all the work and effort you've provided to the community, definitely deserved of your stars.
Congratulation to both of you!

People don't do what they do for the recognition, but thank you Team Liquid for the appreciation for these guys.
And you guys, are the true heroes. When the darkest times are upon us, you are the ray of light for many of us that keep us on going.
This is your moment. Enjoy it.
