See: https://www.si.com/olympics/medals/country National press usualy rank countries by the system which gave their country the best placement, for exemple I remember a ranking that calculate the number of gold, then the number of silver, then the number of bronze because it was the one giving Canada the best place, but right now canadian medias are doing ranking by number of medals cause it's better for them this way. USA usually for most medals as far as I know, but it's funny to me that they have to calculate with gold to place ahead of country with less then a quarter of their population. | ||

Mursak Shoots! Mursak Scores! are the commentators not allowed to say "Russia"? The hockey commentators keep saying "O. A. R.". If they can't say "Russia" that totally sucks. | ||
